Of mice and Stellar Kart

Posted in The world according to Larry

I now have a mouse story that I can tell. I work for an elderly neighbor lady by pulling weeds, trimming with a weed-eater, watering her plants, or what ever she wants me to do. I went as usual to her house, knowing that she really likes to talk, I was standing there, in her house, talking with her before I started to work. At that point I noticed a mouse crawl out for under to sofa that she was sitting on, and the next instant I watched it bolt across the floor and and run into my foot and then dissapear under another chair. Now, you must realize that this lady is 85 years old, but her mind is still very sharp but she didn't show any reaction to the mouse so I wondered if she even saw it. So I posed the question to her. "Do you ever have any trouble with mice?" "Yes, there is one that runs around some times, why? So I told her and then I helped her set a trap, but I don't know if she caught anything. lol!!

Stellar Kart: I just got some of there music and I think they are great. They almost sound like Relient K, with a little Hawk Nelson. Anyone agree/disagree? Let me know what you think!

Swimming!

Posted in The world according to Larry

This year we bought, through the mail, a ton of baby birds including: ducks, geese, turkeys, and many chickens. We also have quail and they lay eggs like crazy. Last night  we took the baby ducks and geese to our grandpas pond to swim. They did enjoy it, once they got the idea of being out there. We swam with them, but there were so many little fish so you couldn't relax, you had to be constantly moving or they would bite you. If you would float on your back they would climb up on your chest and they have really sharp toe nails, so now I have scratches all over my chest! Has any one else ever swam with baby geese?

You know you live in 2007 if...

1. You go to a party, sit down and take MySpace pics.

2. You havent played solitaire with real cards in years.

3. The reason for not staying in touch with your friends is that
they don't have AIM/LiveJournal/MySpace.

4. You'd rather look all over the house for the remote instead
of just pushing the button on the TV.

6. Your evening activity is sitting at the computer.

7. You read this list, and keep nodding and smiling.

8. You think about how stupid you are for reading this.

9. You were too busy to notice number five wasn't there.

10. You actually scrolled back up to check if there was a number five.

11. And now you're laughing at your stupidity.

12. Post this on your blog if you fell for it. You know you did. :-D

This is a quote from Rev. George Duffield during the Revolutionary war:

"Whilst the sun and moon endure, America shall remain a city of refuge for the whole earth, until she herself shall play the tyrant, forget her destiny, disgrace her freedom, and provoke her God."

"Congress is so strange. A man gets up to speak and says nothing. Nobody listens, then everybody disagrees" -Boris Marshalov

"The worst moment for the atheist is when he is realy thankfull, and has nobody to thank" - Dante Gabriel Rossetti

I may have bitten off more then I could chew. I love birds, so when I had to do a research paper, what subject do you think I chose? What causes the sex-link feather pattern in chickens crosses.(Stay with me) Don't ever willingly do a research paper on genetics!

Hey, we're finally on the web! Thanks for visting our new blog. I do profess to be a christian, and the content of this blog can/will mirror that. I love Home-Schooling!!

I am 14 years (almost 15) old, and I am a country boy. I love raising birds and enjoy things like: Hunting, fishing, going to hoe-downs(just kidding), coin collecting, riding dirt-bike, and swimming.
