We're not moving. Dad tried to get the car in the driveway, but couldn't 'cos of the concrete posts in front. So I won't get a massive garden, after all. Or at least, that one. I have just read the latest book in James Patterson's Maximum Ride series. Strongly recommend it. Also I'm rereading Skulduggery Pleasant by Derek Landy. Loved that one too. I think by now you'll have gathered that I'm a huge bookworm. The third in the Inheritance cycle by Christopher Paolini is coming in September, and the last in Cornelia Funke's Inkheart trilogy is coming in October! Maximum Ride is about mutant bird kids trying to escape imprisonment, Skulduggery Pleasant is about a wisecracking skeleton detective, and the Inheritance cycle is about the last Dragon Rider fighting to overthrow an evil Immortal king. The Inkheart trilogy Is about a father and daughter with the ability to read things in and out of written stories, and the Lady Grace Mysteries, which I failed to mention, are about a Maid of Honour to Queen Elisabeth I trying and succeeding to bring wrongdoers at court to justice. Me and my family have been playing Myst on the computer. It's made by Cyan Worlds, and its FAB!! Only thing is that we're running out of episodes to play. We only have Myst 5 and URU expansion discs. The Myst series are based on the concept of being able to write 'ages' - worlds created by written word. I really have to go now, but my family has been reading a book together. Yet however many different ways we include it in our schedule, it never seems to get done. Any ideas, drop me a comment. Please. If not, do you have any reccomendations of books of your own? Age targets have to be from 11 to 14 years old. Thanks! |
