I know everyone has different political views. I am not writing this to cause a bunch of nasty comments, so if you disagree with me, which you have every right to do, please just stop reading and move on :) .
Yesterday we spent 3 1/2 hours directing parking for a Palin Ralley. It was amazing. There were about 5,000 people there. We could hardly see her when she fianally got there, and I didn't appreciate their choices in music....but it was still very encouraging.
All night I have been praying for God to have mercy on our country. Now.....my heart is heavy. I just watched the video clip of McCain conceding the election.
I know that God is in control. He is not surprised. BUT I am concerned where our new president will take us. I think the historic part of the election is "cool". The first african American president...yeah! I think that part would be great....if it wasn't this particular man. He scares me. He is too smooth. I'm NOT saying that McCain would have been perfect.....just heading in more of the direction that I believe God would have wanted for our country. But again....there are no surpises to God. As Christians we need to keep praying. I will pray for our new president, even if, or especially though I don't agree with him on much of anything. I will give him my respect, and my prayers. He will not save us or our country from anything....no man can. Only God can save our country. We need to repent and turn our country back to him. Only then will we be the nation that is truly blessed by the Lord.
In Christ,
Carylee

The Lord is not surprised...and our new President has a scary persona...I am thankful that the Lord is still in control. We need to continue to pray for our country.
Bless your heart!
Blessings,
