Easter Story Cookies (Recipe)

Posted in Recipes

Cindy Downes (aka emptynestmom) posted this great idea on her blog.  Very cool idea for Easter with the kids-- just be sure to start it with your children the night before.  Thanks Cindy and Ellen!

Thanks Marsha, This is REALLY cool! I just have one question (please forgive me, I'm not a baker). It says put the cookies in the oven and then turn the oven off. Does that mean we're not supposed to actually bake these?

Thanks,
Donna

Thank you so much Marsha for sharing your thoughts on the curriculums!! I really hope others will take a moment to respond also. I wanted to ask you how did you get the little clips over there on your sidebar? Those are just to precious and I know that my family would love to see Superman and T-rex in action.

My main mission in life is to capture JOY in each fleeting moment even when those moments seem dry and difficult..........the JOY is there it is just whether or not I decide to have it or not. It is very hard at times but with Christ there is always JOY to be had!!!!

JOYfully in Him,
Kelli

Hey- I haven't seen you in a while. I tried these when my kids were too little and they taste horrible, but the visual is good. They were excited to eat the cookies and were bummed when they tasted bad.

I want to let you know I saw your fotoflik thingie and China is beautiful, but even more beautiful is you and your DH! You've got a GORGEOUS smile and you are way prettier than I could tell from your avatar, don't get me wrong, you look pretty in your avatar too, but it's not as close up like in the fotoflik.

God Bless,
Amber

I don't know what would make them taste better. I love the illustration of them. I think it is a great project. I guess that I am not into egg white desserts, merangue and stuff like that. Yes they are hollow, egg white, sugary with pecans in them. We just didn't like the taste of them. You might though. For me if I waited until they were a bit older to read the verses and such they would understand it more. ( like their ages now-they were really young, like2 and three or three and four-I don't remember but I didn't have Chloe yet). You should try it anyways. It may go great with your boys. They do seem to have such a great interesting perspective on the world. I hear you on the hair thing. Luckily hounds have short hair.

OK when are you guys coming back OUT here?? I have missed you; I know that sounds weird since I only hung out with you once, but I have had "Marshie withdrawals".....so talk that airline hubby into yours into GETTING back out here. Jen Ig will make curry and we can all row her boat (not at the same time - it'll sink). dljfadlksfjsldfjlkdsajf
