My delicious lunch of leftover BBQ Pulled Pork

Posted in Recipes

This was so good as leftovers today that I have to share my latest find.  I am a huge fan of the crockpot but have found that many of the recipes are awfully similar...in taste and ingredients.

So I was a little apprehensive when I saw the McCormick Crockpot Seasoning packet for BBQ Pulled Pork.  You get a 3-4 lb pork roast and trim the fat.  Throw it in the crockpot with the seasoning mix, ketchup, apple cider vinegar and brown sugar (exact amounts on the seasoning packet).  I cooked it on low for 8 hours and served with tortillas or on buns (with garnish of jalapenos, sliced purple onion and pickles).  YUUUUUMMMY!

Not only was it easy for the first meal but I think it tasted even better reheated today for lunch.

Now I need some homemade banana pudding to top off my meal...if I could just find a home that's made it already...

Mmm...mmmm....good! Sounds delish Marsha. Now I am hungry and I really just need to go to bed....your fault! And I was already mad at you for calling me double-weird. Hmph! Not really friend (BIG Cheesy grin) you made me laugh at the double-weird thing. I went prepared...I took an umbrella and everything! Oh well....we have a 30% chance of rain HERE tomorrow and I am hoping it will come through for me. I love thunderstorms, too! I especially like the gray/deep blue skies against the green fields, don't you?! One of these days I am going to get a great picture of it and then enlarge and frame it...

Anyway, I am going to hunt down this McCormick seasoning as I love the convenience of my crock-pot...but don't use it often enough for the same reasons you have mentioned....

Yummy!! I'm going to have to give this a try! My family would absolutely love this. It's our kind of food. I agree about the crock pot - I would love to use it more, but it seems like all the recipes are the same and a lot of stews or roasts. I need more variety and so does my family!! I actually looked at a magazine today that had crock pot recipes and they were all so much alike, it definitely wasn't worth the $6.99 they wanted for it! I'm so glad you shared your new find!
Take care and I'll see you again soon!
