Woooook! I can say it!
Posted in Kids-Family-Funnies-Etc
Three year old Dozer, bounds into the room with his face completely lit up in excitement:
Mommy! Mommy! I can say SSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!
He gives me a high five and then races back to his room.
A couple minutes later, he runs back into the room, stops in front of me with this huge grin on his face and then loudly proclaims:
MOMMY! Mommy! Wooook! I can say T! T! T! T!

Have I ever mentioned just how much I love the Leap Frog - Letter Factory
DVD? That was one of the biggest resources in helping my kids learn to read. They learned their letter sounds with it first and then we worked through Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons
(minus the icky writing part).

Yeah we have this video, I don't even think my 2 year old learned his A, B, C 's from me...sad to say he learned them from a frog. Well it is fun to see him having fun learning what letters say what.

Minus the icky writing part here, too!
I'll have to look into the Leap Frog DVD for the up and coming reader in my house. Well, he's only 16 months, but he'll be a reader someday and I'd better be prepared! :)

We tried the 'Teach your child to read in 100 not easy and terribly confusing and boring and make me hate to read lessons!' We had tears, tantrums and utter dispair - and that was just me!!!! LOL! Glad it works for you though. We just shake our heads when people say how great it is and wonder what we did wrong? Anyway we discovered Hooked on Phonics and LOVED that and never looked back. We still have that other book collecting dust on the shelf. I figure one day I'll find someone to give it to who will figure out how to do it without driving their child to tears!

We are leap pad readers too!!
That was such a BIG burden lifted from me-- they knew all their sounds and small words just from Leap Pad-- I LOVE IT!
The math one--even has a little game you can play thru the DVD player with adding and subtracting-- LOVE IT!!

Hope your camera is working out good for you. I went to go and get the one I picked out and it was gone. :( they discontinued it because they upgraded. SO I have to find another one.

I've been thinking about getting the 100 easy lesson book for my 5 year old. Maybe I should get the video too because he pretty much talks like Elmer Fudd. :)

So cute!
Considering one of the first words J ever spelled was JET....I also have to give the Talking Word Factory a huge dose of credit. Wonderful products!
