Update from Marsha
Hi everyone, this is Marsha's friend
Amy. She asked me to update her readers. Marsha and David offer their heartfelt appreciation for all the prayers and thoughtful emails from her cyber-friends. Her family continues to be blown away by the support she has received from friends she has never even met face-to-face.

Marsha says God has been very good to them and they are doing well. Although they understand the days will get harder as time goes on and they re-settle back into daily life, they feel very blessed that the Lord has held them in the palm of His hand through this tragedy. She says that it is so amazing to see God's handprint when she looks back on the events of the past few weeks. She feels that God had been preparing her family. She is excited to share those details with you in the future.
Just last week they were able to take a vacation together and she is so grateful for the precious time and memories that they shared as a family. David's company has blessed him with an entire month off. The boys have been understanding, and have been trying to keep themselves busy.
Christian's viewing and funeral are this weekend. Please continue to pray for Marsha, David, and their sons. If you are interested in honoring Christian's memory, Marsha asks that in lieu of flowers you consider a donation to her church's missions program. If you would like more information, please email me at amy@heartofthemattermagazine.com. If you have written a special post in honor of Christian, please add your link to the
tribute to sweet Christian at Heart of the Matter.
Blessings to all,
Amy

Marsha dear, I was so sorry to read the news of your sweet little one's homegoing. He and my Madison went to heaven the same day! I am SO sorry for your loss, and oh how I pray that God will draw as close to you as He has been faithful to do for me over these past 12 years. If there is anything I can do to help you, I'm there! I'm so sorry my friend...

I am saddened by what has happened to your family, but so encouraged to here how God is working through your family and helping you all cope. He reminds me so much of my 3 year old, Joseph. I pray the Lord will see you all through these next, hours, days, months & years as I know you will always miss your beloved son, Christian. The world will miss him too! May God be with you and begin to heal your hearts. My love in Christ,

I can hardly believe that in the middle of all your grief you are making sure to update us! You are simply amazing! Know that there are many families here in the UK who don't have blogs who are all lifting your family up in prayer in the weeks to come! There are also several mothers on this side of the pond shedding tears for you at this difficult time. It seems that everyone I ask to pray immediately starts to sob for you. I 'rained' on the keyboard for a couple of hours last night when I got the news, and have stormed heavens gates for you for the past 24 hours. My family will continue to uphold you all as we head off on our vacation this weekend, and I'll be in touch again when we get back in a couple of weeks. Oh Marshie! How I wish that these miles we smaller and I could come and make you a coffee and give you a hug! For now my love and prayers will have to do! (((HUGS))) - Deedee

I was made aware of your family's heartbreaking situation from Julie's Blog and I just wanted you to know that you have been in my prayers a lot! The Lord has called you and your family into remembrance numerous times. This tragedy is gut-wrenching and I am sure that there are no words that can bring a measure of comfort to your broken hearts. I will continue to pray for mercy & grace but most importantly, for God's intimate presence in your midst. I pray for peace and for comfort, thankful that we who are in Christ have "this blessed hope" knowing you will see this precious child again!

Dear Marsha and David,
As you are surrounded by support just days after Christian's death I so wish and pray for people to be there a month from now, a year from now. People to hug you and let you cry. People to stop in and remember with you. I wish I was there to hug you now and in a month, a year.
You are in my prayers....now and in the future.
I heard Steven Curtis Chapman say that someone had emailed him right after his daughter's death and told him that his precious child was a much greater part of his family's future than she ever was of their past. I hope you find encouragement in that too. And know that you will spend eternity with your dear, sweet son.
I can't wait to meet you all there.....
Until we understand His ways are higher than ours,

Though I only visited your blog today for the first time, my heart aches with the beats of a mother who knows what it means to lose a child.
I am praying for you and I know that in the midst of great tragedy can come great glory. I've seen it in my own story, and in the stories of others who found themselves walking by faith through the valley of the shadow over their child's homegoing.
Thanks for allowing Amy to update us and know that many are praying for you. May His grace, His peace, His comfort and His love be upon you throughout the difficult and bittersweet days ahead.

I'm praying for you and your family every day, Marsha. This whole passage came to life for me when my grandmother died:
Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house.
Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.
Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.
Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.
(John 11)
