Oct. 8, 2008 - Hey Marshie!

Posted by deedeeuk

Cute picture! I got choked up (as usual) seeing Dozer in the picture. Then the tears fell as I realised that my computer was playing 'How Great is our God' at the very moment I clicked on your blog and saw his picture!

It was a good reminder to me that God IS Great despite the things that happen to us. I thought I'd share that 'God-incidence' with you this morning.

How great is our God!
-sing with me
How great is out God!
-and all will see
How great is our God!

Love ya' Marshie! Big squishy (((HUGS)))!!!

Look at your 3 gorgeous boys!

Those are some of the coolest candles ever. What a fun cake (despite their hurry up looks!).

It's so good to see that little face...

*hugs!*

Tank's look on his face say's it all. LOL So oblivious to the picture taking...he like your other boys just wants some of that cake. My son Gabriel had those same candles on his b-day cake this past July. So Cute! ;-D God Bless you all.

Oh, too funny! Dozer seems to sum up their feelings quite well. And, oh my, aren't those about the most handsome boys! Better get your shotgun skills ready 'cause girls may be a callin' before you know it.
Love you

Oct. 8, 2008 - Fair vs. Disney

Posted by ladyhawk82158

Hum....good question!

From our experience Disney has always been a pain. I do think every kid will enjoy it once....but we are sort of strapped into going at Christmas time (visiting family there at that time) and that's when the park is INSANELY CROWDED!

I have talked with folks in Orlando and they do suggest going around Halloween time. They say their fairs/hotels/etc. are half what they are at other times of the year because the tourism is so down at that time due to kids just starting back to school so most families are not going to take off for a vacation then.

As for the fair, 2 out of 3 of ours weren't showing animals. They were there to support sister. However, I think the selling point was when I handed them their own map and schedule of events and asked them to pick what they were interested in and then we made it happen. Being able to see more and do more in the park I think is what made it better.

Have you considered Houston Livestock Show? The reason I ask is because we're hearing a lot of great things about it from those who were comparing it to the Dallas one and we are planning on attending. I believe it's going to be in March.

Now *that* is a classic. Cute pic, and adorable kids, of course.

It's even worse when you re-light the candles so you can get a better pic... and worse yet when they are wanting to open a present and you make them wait for the camera. I have my share of frowny present pictures. Of course, I'm sure *you* would *never* do those things.

Oh, and I noticed your comment above re Disney. Not sure when your trip is planned, but thought I'd add that the one time we went (2001), we went in early-to-mid Feb, which the books said was the 2nd-slowest time of year. It just happened to coincide w/a conference in Orlando, so it was combined w/a business trip for my hubby's co; that's why we went. It was perfect-- cheaper rates, no lines & great weather.
