It's snowing! In HOUSTON!

Posted in Kids-Family-Funnies-Etc

Will wonders never cease?!  When we landed in Houston, we looked out the window to see big, giant, beautiful snowflakes!  Dash and Tank were SO excited.  We could hardly believe our eyes!

This just never happens here in Houston... although people say it snowed here 4 years ago, it never did at our house... so that time didn't count. :-)

Edited to add:  I just had to add that the boys did not own heavy jackets or gloves or hats until last week. I hit a few thrift stores and Target to purchase the too-warm-for-Houston items in preparation for our visit to Spokane this week (where it did not snow!).  Lest ye think that the weather has gone topsy turvy, the forecast for Houston tomorrow is 71!  C-R-A-Z-Y!

This would explain why in was almost 70 degrees here! I guess we can give you all a little of our chilly weather occasionally. :-)

That's awesome! I read that it was snowing there and had to take a second look at what I was reading. We get some of that action this weekend. Love you!!!

whoa....that's pretty shocking. About as shocking as living in Houston and your kids OWN gloves. I live in a much colder state and I don't think my son owns a pair of gloves. I pretty much stink at the preparation stuff. ;)

I remember the snow 4 yrs, ago;) I was visiting my family in San Antonio and it was snowing in all the surrounding areas (Austin, Victoria, the Houston area, etc....) except San Antonio. Looks like the boys had fun.

Dec. 11, 2008 - Hey that's not fair!!! LOL

My sons have yet to see "snow" (besides occasionally dustings) and we live in the foothills of TN! Maybe this will be our year for snow too! Looks like ya'll had fun. Curious, does your husband get nervous when he is actually flying the planes in incliment weather. My husband would love to do anything with aviation, but doesn't think he is smart enough to be a pilot. He would happily settle to be a flight attendant if they were paid better :) Nice to see you are back safely.

I totally agree about the weather. We're in Richardson (next to Dallas) and one day it's freezing out side and today it's sooo beautiful outside. It snowed a little here the other day, but not much at all. More sleet /hail than anything. :)

Marsha, How awesome to see snow there. I lived there for a year and a half right after Hubby and I were married. It didn't snow then either, but it sure rained a lot.
