HOTM's new look and Irona vs. Rosie POLL

Have you checked out Heart of the Matter Online's new look? It has been updated before but WOW, it is looking extra schnazzy right now!!! (Is schnazzy even a word?) So please GO CHECK IT OUT, join in the new chat feature, and leave some comments!

Tomorrow, David goes to work for a 3-day trip so the boys and I are going to be hanging out with my friend Leslie and partying like it's ummm... yeah... almost 2009. So if you live in the Cabot/Little Rock area, e-mail me if you might want to get together for coffee or something. It's only going to be a short visit so I can't promise, but I sure can try! :-)

Speaking of 2009, did anyone else think that surely by the time we got this close to 2010 that we would have those cars that folded up into a briefcase a la The Jetsons? (And didn't I most likely post about this very thing last year-- when oh when will I just get over the disappointment?!)

Ooo... and I still want that neat-o machine that will instantly give you food... along with the one that will brush your teeth for you, change your clothes and fix your hair. Apparently, I am very lazy.

And since you are dying to know, if given the choice, I would want to have Irona from Richie-Rich as my maid instead of Rosie from The Jetsons. Irona was very strong and could turn into all sorts of useful contraptions. Whereas Rosie... well, poor Rosie didn't do much did she? What say you?

But, actually, I never really watched it so, but I'm thinking I would like a robomaid who does all those things. Maybe not brush my teeth... not sure I want anything that close to my face. ;)

Though a maid, in any form would be appreciated every so often around here!!!! :)

Hands down-Rosie gets my vote. She's much more 'human' (motherly/grandmotherly) and seemed to be a bit more intuitive (if that's possible for a robot) LOL! Every year I do the exact same thing wondering when the The Jetson era is going to come to life! ;) My boys think I'm a little weirdo when I try telling them about it-they've never seen the Jetson's. But nowadays they themselves are so surrounded by technology that it wouldn't even phase them....
