6 months and the goodness of pumpkin pie pineapples

Posted in Encouragement and Other Thoughts

It's hard to believe it's been 6 months already.  When I start feeling down at night, I can look forward to the morning and another day full of God's mercy and grace.

Often
times, God won't let me wait until morning to be encouraged!  He is good to bring crazy 3yo stuff to my mind to make me smile.  Tonight's episode is about pumpkin pie pineapples.  Thank you, dear God, for giving me these many precious moments with Christian (and for capturing them on video)!

PS At the end when he says I can hold it... that's when I realize I have this gigantic grin on my face. I just can't help but smile!  The way he said it, the way he looked up at me... it was all classic Christian.

He is SO cute. I too have often thought how wonderful it is that you took so much video of Christian while he was still with you.

I have a 3 year old son and have been following your amazing journey. This post touched me deep because my own boy, when he wants pineapple, asks for "Apple Pie."

Blessings to you. Amy

"I can hold it." That's hilarious and precious. It's like he's asking you, but yet...PROCLAIMING that he's big enough to hold such an odd/big thing.

Love that you have it on video, that's a miracle, huh?

I had basically stopped videotaping our youngest (he's 5 now) but you have inspired me to continue. Ya know, the whole, "I have no time," etc. But your videos have inspired me, and I am so grateful that you continue to post them. Blessings to you, Marsha. And I love how God keeps bringing you to my mind. My prayers go out to you and your family.

Feb. 28, 2009 - Pine Apple

Posted by SteveWalden

Now I'm going to go through the grocery store and when I see the "pine apples," I'm going to think, "pumpkin pie."

God is Providence when He has you video your child often so that you can savor the gift of Christian. We're still praying for you and your family as you continue to heal, Marsha. The Lord is near to all who call on Him. May His peace continue to guard your heart through these times.

Marsha
That video also brought a huge grin to my face.
Thanks for sharing it.
I will always think of pumpkin pie with pineapples and visa versa and as you've mentioned before...cherish it all.

Mar. 4, 2009 - What a precious moment

I cannot believe it has been six months. Not that you want time to stop, but it just goes so fast.
Christian was such a sweetie. I can see that little mischievous, "I want to listen, but I have my own opinions, but I guess mommy knows what she is talking about" in him. I think he and Caleb would have been best buds, because they seem to be so much alike.

You are precious too Marsha. May the LORD give you peace and all the wonderful, honest, true, just, pure, lovely, and of good report - kinds of things to think on.
I am so glad you have these moments on record to look back upon and cry and laugh and just feel him deeply.
Breathe it all in. Let the LORD take it all out.

HUGS and blessings, my friend~

Dude... Christian is saying "porcupine" not "punkin pie".

The pineapple is pokey like porcupine. I had to listen like 3 times... but I swear the little sweetie is saying porcupine.

I'm willing to wager....
