Interview with Dash and Tank

Posted in Kids-Family-Funnies-Etc

I saw this over at Darcy's blawg and thought I'd give it a go.  I'm sure I was sent this on Facebook but well, I never quite get around to the tags and notes from there.  One day I will, but not today.

Without further ado, here is an interview about mommy with my boys Austin (Dash) and Noah (Tank).  To keep them from influencing each other's answers, I took them aside individually and asked them these questions.

FROM AUSTIN (9.5 yo)

1.  What is something mom always says to you?
Uhhh… what do you mean?  I don’t know. That’s a tough one.

2. What makes mom happy?
Flowers. (said in a whisper)

3. What makes mom sad?
Thinking about Christian.
(I love my boys. They are so sweet.)

4. How does your mom make you laugh?
Tells funny jokes.

5. What was your mom like as a child?
Laughs and says “I don’t know! I don’t remember what your picture looked like.”
(I explain, not what did I look like as a child, but what WAS I like?)
 “A servant?”
(yah, I felt like that sometimes too! Hehehe)

6. How old is your mom?
Uhhhh… 33?

7. How tall is your mom?
Uhhhh… 6 feet 2 inches?

I have seen this one around a few blogs as well, but I'm waiting until my children are healthier before I give this quiz because I don't want any grumpy, why-does-this-woman-insist-on-blogging-everything answers. I want cool answers like "My mom is like Wonder Woman". Of course, I don't think my children have ever watched Wonder Woman, so who knows what I'll get.

So, I'm just wondering, are you five feet tall, six foot two, or ten feet tall?

Too funny!

Too cute! I am going to do this with Bryce. I have a feeling I'll get playing on the computer as an answer, too.

Your boys gave some really cute answers. It was really neat to see how many they answered alike.
They say your job is the Grocery Game? I tried the GG once but had to give it up. It's a crazy story really. I had a 7yr, 5yr, 2yr and 6 month old and set out on my grocery journey (how insane was that??) Long story short, my 2yr old flipped backwards out of a buggy on to his head! I don't believe I've every been so scared and upset. In the middle of that grocery story with a gaggle of kids and one plops out on his head...he screams I scream...he cries...I cry! It's was awful. Needless to say I didn't do the grocery game again (but I did thoroughly enjoy the great finds I walked away with, I had just finished checking out when he fell). Maybe one day when they're older I'll try again...or when they add WalMart to the list!!
Anyway...back to my question...is it your "job" or do you just play the game? Just curious...

I love hearing Kids answer questions. I used to love that show years ago - I think Bill Cosby did it - where they were asked all these mature-ish type questions, and the darling answers they gave... hilarious. I'm going to try this with my boys...

I'll give the grocery game some more thought. I know it wouldn't work out for me to have a set time every week, I struggle to get in my monthly trip, and the only way I do it is by heading to Walmart at 6am! However, I will consider it again. It seems I keep hearing about people and coupons, maybe it's something I need to be doing more of. How long does it take you each week to clip the coupons and get prepared for your trip? And, apprx how much do you spend per week?
I didn't watch the bonus clips on Fireproof...I wish I had. It was late when we finished the movie and we just headed to bed. I borrowed it from my bro, so maybe I'll borrow it again, after they've watched it.

Your boys are so cute and sweet. I'm not sure I'd want to ask my boys these questions, though they would probably say I sit at the computer a lot (even though I don't). :)
