It's hard to believe that school supply season is already here...

I can't believe that it's already time to get organized for the new school year.  The smell of new crayons, tons of notebooks, and an endless supply of construction paper, glue sticks and pencils have overtaken our schoolroom.  I just can't resist .19 cent boxes of Crayola Crayons and .10 cent spiral notebooks-- even if only one of my kids actually knows how to write!  Once I figure out where to put all this stuff, it will be time to tackle the bookshelves.  I never thought that there was such a thing as too many books...but I was wrong!

I've been tackling our bookshelves for the last 3 days. Hopefully I'll finish today! We've had a blast doing some back to school shopping and getting ready the past week or so. Another 2 weeks and we'll be "officially" back to school!

and there is never such a thing as too much. Welcome to HSB. I'm looking forward to *seeing* more of you here. What a handsome group of boys you have. I know that you must be very proud.

but I like to wait until they're really bargan basement and stock up. So I don't normally need too much when it's "back to school" time.

But today I bought school supplies for some refugee children...for our Church. They had shopping lists for each group of grades. I picked a 3rd or 4th grader and got everything on the list for under $18 at Big Lots! I even threw in a few extras as there was this combo pack that had some things on my list and a few things not on the list.

DD & I had fun picking out the items for someone else that we didn't know. We then took the backpack loaded up with supplies back to Church today. That way we won't forget it.
