I think I'm ready for spring. We live in Washington where it
rains, rains,
and rains some more.
Since I've lived here the majority of my life I tell myself I'm used to it and actually like it a bit. However, there are a few days when the sun decides to poke out and I'm reminded of just how much sunshine can uplift a mood. It has still been fairly cold out but we've had sunshine
for a whole week now. Looking out my window and seeing everything so bright just makes me energized. Combine that with a bit of nesting hormones and I've gotten quite a bit accomplished. I've rearranged a couple of rooms, cleaned out kitchen cabinets and cleaned out my refrigerator. Now if I could get the kids to stop making messes the house would actually look clean ! All that to say, it's been a pretty good week and I'm hoping all this sun means Spring is coming and we'll be getting more. I think making that list last week actually helped too. I finished all of those things and it seems like crossing each one off led to finishing additional tasks too. I constantly feel like I'm behind in my household duties so maybe list making will help me to stay on top of a few things better. Like deeper cleaning...more than just laundry and dishes.
So this week I'm hoping to:
clean/scrub bathtub
see the bottom of the laundry pile
make up a menu-meal plan for the next two weeks
sweep/mop bathroom floor
assemble and switch bookshelves in daughters room
I'll probably be adding more to this list as I come up with things, but that's a start anyway!
Oh, and I came across this cartoon and thought it was funny.
(Inspired by you Emily)
Glad the list making is helping. I go through periods where that helps me alot too. Right now I just am in a getting rid of mood. It feels like if I get rid of enough stuff I won't have to clean so much. The kids are starting to guard their toys! LOL!!!
Blessings,
Dawn
Wow Laura! That's quite a wordy post for you!!! lol!!!!
Samantha gave me the message that you called while I was out......I keep hoping you'll call back, but with all of that stuff to keep you busy, I don't see how you'll be calling me back!!!!
PLEASE DO!!!!!!!
Yeah, I'm just sitting here on the couch, eating truffles, watching soap operas, reading, and lazing about.....ah, bed rest!!!!!
So, have you thought about doing pregnant belly pictures? You don't have to lift up your shirt, just do one so we can all vomit at how cute you are!!!!!!
I hope that you are able to accomplish all your tasks. I don't know what we would do without lists:) I always get grumpy when I complete a list because I know that it will all be undone very soon.
I am wife to a big stud of a man who makes me laugh and I'm a mother of six kids ages: 7, 6, 4, 3, 2, 1 and another one on the way! It may be a little noisy, a bit messy, and slightly chaotic around here but we try to have fun and somehow the Lord has kept me sane :)

It was actually warm and bright enough for a brisk walk around the lake at 7AM today! (and I was not even cold!)
