Musings of An Earthenvessel
Apr. 13, 2008 - What a week!

Tuesday night was the PPEA Talent Show. Maiden sang a solo and was the 3rd act up on stage. She had ribbons to twirl while she was singing and forgot them when she first went up. She was so cute. She just said, "Umm, excuse me. I forgot my ribbons." They were able to get them to her and she recovered beautifully. One of the moms told me that she thought she was lipsincing at first. Then she realized that was Maiden's voice. I was so proud of her!!!
My friend MamaMary was in charge of the talent show. The two teens shown here were the emcees.

Maiden waiting among all the other performers. There were around 200 in the audience and about 30 or so performers! Yes, all of these kids are homeschooled!

In another room they had tables set up so that kids could show their art projects, etc.
Knight #1 made a clay sculpture to share. It is a sculpture of his Toon and doodle from Toontown. A doodle is like a toon's pet.

I tried to get video with my camera, but did something wrong and it didn't work. There were two teens who were video taping the whole show so they told me I can have a copy when they are finished editing it.

The next day I walked and the kids rode bikes over to my best friend's house. She only lives a couple blocks away. We visited for a little while and then walked/rode home. Her son, Biggun, came with us. I'd had a sinus headache when I got up that morning. It kept getting worse and worse until I had a full blown migraine. The problem was that I was out of my migraine Rx. It was one of the worse headaches I have had in a long time. DH would not allow me to get on the computer the whole next day.

Thursday I had a lot of work to do on the PPEA newsletter. This is my next to last issue. Another lady is taking it over in July, so I can concentrate on doing just the Website for PPEA. This issue is our graduation issue and contains pictures and bios of all our graduating seniors. We have 40 seniors this year so it is a large issue.

Yesterday our home fellowship group from church had a picnic at a local beach. We had a blast but the kids and I got fried! We got sunscreen on the kids too late, while I was just plain stupid. I didn't think I would burn like this. I didn't think that Maiden and Knight #2 were as bad, but they got it pretty badly. Both knights are unable to wear a shirt because their backs are burned so badly. Poor guys! I have been slathering burn relief on the 4 of us since last night. We stayed home from church today while DH went.

It sounds and looks like a great time. Sorry about the sunburns, they do hurt. I have to put aloevera on the kids sun burns tonight. I hope you feel better soon. :)
