We have evacuated from New Orleans and are staying in Northeast Texas with friends (which, incidentally, is supposed to get tropical storm force winds the day after the hurricane hits...sigh...). Unfortunately, the expected landfall for Hurricane Gustav is west of New Orleans, right over our house in Boutte, LA. Please pray for us and our neighbors and our church (my husband is on staff at First Baptist in Harahan, LA). My children are ok and we are ok, so ultimately everything else is just stuff...but it sure is hard to watch WWL and see the track headed right for us.
