Jul. 11, 2007~ Could You Help Me??? ~
Hi Everyone!!!!
I hope you guys can help me! I have a web nickname for my youngest but I have never been able to come up with one for my oldest. I want something that will put emphasis on his strengths, not his weaknesses. So I'll tell you little more about him and I would love it if you guys could give me nickname suggestions. First, he turns 11 next week. He is very intelligent and loves history and science. He especially loves the Revolutionary War time and the Middle Ages. He loves geology. He loves the movies Star Wars and Narnia. He also loves the book/movie Bridge to Teribithia. He says his favorite book is Red Badge of Courge. His favorite toy is Lego Blocks. He likes to read, draw and write stories. Some of his favorite shows are Chip and Dale: Rescue Rangers, Tale Spins, Cyber Chase, and Arthur. He would make a great architect or engineer someday if he chooses.
Thanks for any help you can give me!
He and my oldest have a lot in common. Why not just call him Number One Son? Or like Mary, DS and then his age? Or his first inital? Or Builder Boy? Or ??? This is a hard one because it is personal and has to fit him and you are the one who knows him best. You could do Big One to fit with Little One. Whatever you decide I am sure it will fit! Not sure if I've been of any help...

You should call him something to do with a Knight. He's obviously drawn to stories about courage and valiance and battles between good and evil. Alpha Boy!
He reminds me of mine! The words soldier and warrior come to mind. You could also emphasize the spiritual side of it, too. To always fight for the right, for truth. It could also lead to defending the helpless and caring for the poor.

Well, when I first started reading, strength, made me think of Samson. Then I read that he liked Star Wars and I thought of SkyWalker, and I thought that seemed fitting too, since he likes astrology. So my suggestion is SkyWalker11. ;o)
My boys and husband use actual star wars and star trek names from the book series (usually lesser know characters) for passwords and such. Just a thought, let him choose one.
All my boys pick their on line names. My oldest 1ds14 picked a elvenish name. 2ds12 is picked Sleeper (lol), 3ds9 picked bugboy, 4ds6 picked Orange Knight. I would for sure ask your ds what he thinks is a good name.
Well, since his interests are varied and include so many different topics, what about Renaissance Man? He certainly sounds like he's on the path to becoming one!
Sorry to hear your little guy is having more problems. I am sure everything will go just fine. Wishing you both all the best!

He likes Red Badge of Courage. I recently had to pick a book that I liked least and that was the one I picked. I had great difficulty reading and just couldn't get into. It didn't interest me at all.
I was required to read it in high school. I liked Shakespeare much better.
