Humor according to Little One
Posted in Out of the Mouths of Babes
Little One is trying so hard to tell jokes. Here is a sample:
Why did the cup cross the road? Because he didn't like it!
Why did the chicken cross the road? Because, because!
Why did the boy throw his tv out the window? To see his keyboard fly!
I think we need to work on joke telling!!!!

So funny to remember all my kids going through that stage. It just suddenly starts to click. Don't have any in that stage anymore. I just read these to Josiah and told him he used to do the same kind, and he couldn't believe it!

Here's one from Grace this morning as we watched our neighbors at the bus stop. "Why don't chickens go to school? Because they are afraid!" Hm. Makes me think!

I have given you the "Rockin' Girl Blogger" Award. I don't have the graphic on my site but the two people that gave it to me do if you are interested. If not, just know that I really enjoy your blog.

although the jokes can get repetitive! I think it's developmental, although I've never looked for any research to back it up...but usually my kindergarten and first grade age dc tell those sorts of jokes. By second or third grade ages, they seem to get the concept a little bit better!

Kids' jokes are hilarious even if they aren't "funny" to most people. I get a kick out of them trying.
