Nov. 2, 2007~ Nature Walk ~ |
Today we went on another nature walk. It was in the 50's again today and plenty of sunshine. The boys found a lot of pretty leaves. PC spotted a feather lying on the ground and they also found lots of acorns. At one point, we were looking at the acorns on the ground and one went whizzing past us. PC said he saw a squirrel throw it at us! lol!!!! I took some of the leaves and covered them with contact paper. I hope it preserves them. I guess we will see. I plan to put them in some nature books we are going to make. |

What fun! I love nature walks.
I enjoyed looking at your photos.
And I definately believe the comment about the squirrel. The ones I've "known" haven't, exactly, been kind. ;o)

I just posted an entry on my nature journal on preserving all the leaves we acquire *grin* Very similar to your contact paper so I'm sure that yours will work to!

I love the changing leaves. They are so beautiful. I'm thinking this will be the end of the fall foliage for us. The weekend is not looking very good weather-wise. After this blustery day, there might not be much left to look at. *sigh* Break out the hot cocoa.
Peace and Laughter,
