Monday Meanderings, Prayer Update and some Happy News
Posted in Monday Meanderings

For more information visit Tiany's blog.
First, I want to say, I so appreciate the prayers. We have been and still are really in need of them. I still can't go into much detail because of the nature of the request, but I'll try to explain a little since you are all so wonderful to pray for us. As many of you know, we had to send our oldest son to stay at his grandparents in part so he could get a fresh start and in part so we could de-stress for a little bit and hopefully be in a better position to help him with his needs. Well, the arrangement is not going well at all, but we are not in a position to care for him at the moment. My health is only just now getting back to where it was before I got sick this winter and that was not very good to begin with. Plus all the problems that we were having with our oldest child was stunting Little One's development and we don't want to go backwards on that. We really feel like we are caught between a rock and a hard place and we really don't know how all this is going to play out. Believe me, I am really over simplifying it here. The problem is very complex and difficult but due to the nature of it, I just can't go into more detail. Also due to all of our children's medical problems, we are almost broke. Right now, we are surviving on credit cards because our bills equal my Husband's paycheck and there is nothing left over for food, clothes, personal items and such. We are hoping our tax refund and rebate check will help help, but we will still be in a major jam. In the next month or so I hope to have some curriculum that I am making for sale, but I doubt that will help a lot. Right now, we REALLY need a miracle!!! Hubby thinks we are about to max our credit card out in a month or two and then if something does not change we may have to file bankruptcy. I REALLY pray it does not come to that. It is so frustrating that even with insurance the medical bills have swamped us that much!! Again, thank you for your prayers.
Now for the good news!!! My niece, "C", had her state gymnastic meet today and she qualified for regionals!!! She has worked very hard for this since she was 3 years old. She is now 15 and at level 9. We are really hoping she makes it to the nationals. We just learned this weekend that the nationals are going to be held here in Dayton and so we are really hoping and praying she makes and we get to see her. We had to miss her local meet this year because we got snowed in, so this could give us a second chance. The first time I met "C" was when she was 7 years old and in the 4th of July parade. She about gave me a heart attack when she did a back handspring in the middle of the road!!! I knew then, if she kept practicing and kept up her dedication she would be really good some day.

I can empathize with your situation, Lynn. I understand how medical bills are so expensive. The least little thing is hundreds or thousands of dollars. I am thankful that your husband at least still has a job. I will pray a solution is on its way!

You are in our prayers. I do not know all of youtroubles with your oldest, but I do understand. I have a wayward son of my own who is daily at the top of my prayer list. The most difficult thing I've ever had to do was accept that I cannot change him or help him. Only pray for him. He's twenty now and still wayward, but in my heart I know God hears my prayers. He hears yours, too. Just hang in there.

Thanks for the update. It must be a terrible place to be in. I will continue to pray. The stress alone must be very hard on your health. I pray that God's grace will be sufficient and that He will help you through this with a miracle. Have you tried talking to the medical offices/hospitals that you owe to see if you can get a plan with lower payments that you can handle for a while?
Feed on His Faithfulness,
Carol

Honey, I am so sorry and of course I will pray. I don't know you and found you through Tiany's blog but your post touched my heart. I know how it is to be living on credit cards and on the verge of filing bankruptcy because of my last operation/medical bills. I will also pray for your sons.

I worked in the mental health field for six years and my husband has worked with mentally ill for 13 years. I am surely no expert but have you considered the fact that you might have to put him in a home for his sake and yours. Is he being treated and/or seeing a psychiatrist? They will help you with this. Please know I am praying.

Oh, darlin'! I'm so sorry it's been such a rough season for you. I will continue to pray, and it is very helpful to know how to pray. Thanks for trusting us with this request.
"It is written, "My house shall be a house of prayer!"
This house will be praying for YOUR house. I'm sure you're already praying, but know that you are not alone. I have no answers, but I know the One who does!
To the One who owns the cattle on a thousand hills, our Abba Father, our Savior and Redeemer, our Ever-present Help in trouble, Almighty God, hear our prayers on behalf of this family. Would You, in your great mercy and amazing power, move heaven and earth for your servants?
Heavenly Father, I ask that You would provide healing (physical and mental) for this household. I pray that You would provide what this family needs, and that You would bless them out of your great love for them! I pray that You would provide friends for encouragement and fellowship in this time, friends who will choose to do life with this household and be part of your healing and helping!
Father, so many of us cry out to You. Please, be merciful and gracious and reveal your will and yourself soon!
Thank you, Father! It's in the name of Jesus we ask these things.
