Our Oldest Needs Tests Done
*sigh*!!! PC (our 11 year old) is needing tests done. Last week he blacked out and fell (he was ok). His doctor feels between that and the fact that he "zones out" sometimes, he need to have an EEG (I think) to see if he is having mini seizures. We're kinda nervous about this because we're pretty sure he had a seizure once when he was 6 after another kid dropped a rock on his head. He had tests done then, but they didn't show anything, but they said it would only show up if he was having a seizure at the time of the test. Since then, we haven't seen any seizures and we never thought about the "zoning out" that, that could be a mini seizure. I pray that it's not!!!
Otherwise, my week has been good. We had a nice visit with family members on Monday. Luckily, it was a yucky day on Tuesday, so we just stayed home and inside. Little One was SO tired from the weekend, he really needed a day just to chill. Yesterday, he got out and played with his friends since it was beautiful. It's finally starting to get warm around here. Today, I hoping to get out for a little bit. It's suppose to be warm and sunny!!! Have a good day!

went through the same thing with my daughter.
We found out that it was a puberty thing. Her body was having a hard time adjusting with all the hormonal changes and such. She every once in awhile has a day like that - almost passing out - but it happens less often.
Interested in hearing what you find out. We never did the Ekg thing.
Will be praying for you and him.

I'm so sorry. As one who had similar things as you are describing myself as a child, and one who has two children who had seizures, I can totally relate to what you are going through. I pray that if it is seizures, he will have one while the testing is going on. If he is not having seizures, that it will be very clear to the neurologist what is going on. One thing that I did that was helpful, is I took a video of my second daughter's episode (she was doing it frequently at night) and brought it with me to the neurologist. Although her eeg was negative, he could tell from the video that she was having a seizure. I got a lot of wierd looks when I brought a little tv with a built in video player to the doctor's office though!
Let me know if I can help in any way.
