Happy Monday!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Saturday was our oldest son's (Prince Caspian/PC) birthday and we had a really good day with him. We took him and Little One to see the movie Journey to the Center of the Earth. It was wonderful!! We were a little concerned about Little One seeing it because it was very intense, but he did great in it. The movie was a digital 3-D movie and the technology was awesome. Nothing like being chased by a T-Rex in 3-D!!! lol!!! But since it is a Walden Media movie, no one was seriously hurt, no blood, no gore and it was clean. Warning though, it is NOT the book. It is about a scientist who wants to find out what happened to his brother and is set in modern times. It is based on the premise that the guy in the book was a real person who told his story to Jules Verne and now these people in modern times discovered how to get to the place that was written about in the book. The pluses are it might make a kid want to read the book and there is a lot of science in the movies, but unfortunately, there is a moderate amount of evolution also but it's not horribly over powering. Here's a trailer to the movie:

After the movie we came home and hung out a little bit. Hubby grilled hamburgers and hotdogs and of course we had cake!
Sunday, we pretty much just chilled. We watched some more of Napoleon and Samantha an old Disney flick with Jodie Foster as a little girl and Michael Douglas as a young man and ate popcorn.
Monday, I am suppose to go out with my best friend for dinner. I am so happy about it. She moved to Poland a little over a year ago and this will be the first time I get to see her since she moved. We didn't get to arrange a time while her husband was still in town, which is disappointing, but at least I get to see her!!! Her and I have been friends for over 30 years! We met in the first grade and have been friends ever since. She was my maid of honor and I was hers.
The rest of the week should be pretty slow. Finally no doctor's appointments. Oh, I have high blood pressure that I am now being treated for (from the last doctor appointment). That was added to my list of health problems. Geesh! Hubby saw all my medicines together for once the other day and he was like, "You take all that???" Yep! I take a lot. Hopefully it will be temporary.
Have a wonderful week! Don't forget I will be doing Thoroughly Organized Thursday Meme on Thursday (starting late Wednesday night) if you are interested in joining me. All you have to do is write an organizing tip for home or school. Please leave a comment to let me know you were here!

It sounds like a fun movie. It's not playing in 3D in our local theater, but it is in one about 45 minutes away. We'll probably have to wait for the DVD though to rent. It sounds like lots of fun with you friend tomorrow. I hope you have a great time. Sorry about the high blood pressure. I do hope your medicine can be cut down sometime soon. :)

I'm glad you are having a slow week. I have one last busy week and then I can start collaps--I mean, relaxing. ;o) The children are rehearsing every day this week and will put on their backyard show this coming weekend.
Thanks for the movie review. I'm always hesitant about 3D movies. I've gotten headaches from them in the past. I've heard the technology has improved.
Peace and Laughter,
Cristina

Blessings and Hugs for you, dear friend!!! I am sorry to read about your high blood pressure, but it can be controlled with meds...of course, you know that now.
I am not happy with taking so many drugs just to get by each day myself, but I believe that our Creator has a plan and that we all are apart of His bigger picture. (-:
Hugs again,
Mama Karen

A friend emailed me your notebooking site and I looked at your blog for the first time today. It's absolutely lovely.
I have an amazing 10yo ds who has orthopedic challenges to live with, but, I noticed that your son and mine have the exact same interests. We will keep you and yours in our prayers...thank you for all the great notebooking downloads!....Debbie
