Oct. 21, 2008~ Weekend Update and Blogger Friend School ~
Well, Hubby is back at work and Little One and I are adjusting to him not being here again. We had a wonderful weekend. First, on Friday morning we went to a theater production of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe that was put on for children. It was cute and well done for the price ($4.75 a person!!! ) The cast consisted of only five adults. It was interesting seeing these 5 adults pull off a show that has a lot of characters and the main characters are kids!!! It was halarious at times. Little One did not realize the children were played by adults!!!! I was cracking up when I explained that one to him!!! The funniest part was when the White Witch was killed she slid down the "wall" (it almost looked like she was melting!) and out of her costume and out she popped as Susan. I know it sounds corny describing it, but like I said for the price we paid for the tickets, they really did do a good job and Little One loved it and that was the whole point! Friday evening we took Little One to a farm for a church thing for the little kids. It was awesome! It was pretty chilly that night, but that's ok because we got to roast hotdogs and marshmellows over the fire!!!! YUM! YUM! YUM! Little One also got to see turkeys, bunnies and goats while there. The goats were in a pen that was under a place set. It was really cool. Here are some pictures:
On Saturday, Hubby had a lot of yard work still to do like taking down a dead tree. On Sunday, we left church early to go to our nephew's birthday party which was at a park. It was a really nice day, but a bit chilly. We then left Little One with his grandma and grandpa (Hubby's dad and step mom) so we could go on a date. We went to see the movie Fireproof and LOVED it!!!! It was a really awesome movie. It was a lot funnier than I expected and yes, it was pretty intense at times. The Gospel really came through in this movie. Just a little tidbit that I learned about it. At the end there is a scene where the husband and wife kiss, well I read that they flew Kirk Cameron's real wife in, so she could do that scene with Kirk Cameron instead of with the actress that was portraying his wife. That bumped my opinion of Kirk Cameron up even more!!!!
After the movie, we went Red Lobster (we had a gift card!) and finished off our enjoyable week.
Blogger Friend School-
Assignment: Tell us all about how your have “your” relaxing time, more especially how during the cooler months you take time to curl up with your favorite movie, book, Bible study, and what your favorite warm drink would be.
Ok, my favorite place would be on my comfy couch, under my thick comforter, drinking creamy coffee, reading a book or watching a movie with Hubby or as a family. lol!!! But, I rarely get to do all of them together.
My favorite verse:
I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. Philippians 4:13
It all sounds like a great time. We want to see that movie bad, but no babysitter or finances, we'll wait for the DVD. The farm looks fun. I'm glad you had such a great weekend. :)

Oh, how I want to see that movie, but I just can't bring myself to go alone. I really think my husband would not appreciate/like it, making me wish I had gone alone. What a great comment about Kirk Cameron. I highly respect him for that!!!
