Nov. 10, 2008~ Nature Studies- Our Crab Apple Tree ~ |
We have a wonderful crab apple tree. It does get a little messy at times, but it makes a wonderful bird feeder in the winter. We always have tons of birds around our house all year long because of the ample food source we have. Well, I decided to bring a branch in for Little One and I to draw. I also cut one of the tiny apples open so Little One could see the inside of it and yes, it looks like a tiny apple on the inside. Little One decided he was going to draw his picture only in red. lol!!! Here are some pictures:
To see the picture better, just click on it and it will enlarge and stop. |

Crab apple trees are so messy but they do attract the birds. LO's drawing is sweet. Hope he is doing well.

I miss our crab apple tree. We had one on our side yard. We also had a cherry tree. Talk about a mess with the shoes! They sure are pretty to look at though.
I'm feeling a bit back to normal after our adventure away from home. So glad to be in a termite, spider, cricket free home!

| I have a crab apple tree as well. It is in my front yard. The kids and I actually made crab apple jelly this year. It tastes really good. |
