It's been a while... Ooooops!!!!! Things have been really busy around here. I'll try to be brief. First, yes my oldest son, Prince Caspian, is back for good. It has been an adjustment for everybody, but we are getting there. I want to thank everyone for their prayers over this. It has been a very long year for us.
I mentioned last time, that I may be diabetic. Well, that has been confirmed. *sigh* It has been a big adjustment for me. I am a very picky eater with a sweet tooth. My favorite foods are white breads and cheeses. I feel like I am having to revamp my entire diet. I also need to add more exercise, which is really hard with my fibromyalgia/ chronic fatigue. Please pray for me. I want to be around to see my grandchildren and I know to do that, I have to make some really big changes.
During May, we had a LOT of fun as a family. We took both of the boys to a thing called World a Fair. Basically, they set up booths for different countries of the world and have information about the countries, things to buy and lots of food. It's a real neat experience. The kids got "passports" that they could get stamped at each booth and the people would talk to the children about the country they were representing. We also went to two of the shows, Ireland and Philippines, there we saw some of their national dances.
We also went to this thing called Night at the Air Force Museum. They had people dress up as historical figures from aviation history. Some of the people the kids could interact with and others would put on skits and they would then freeze when they "realized people were watching". lol!!! They also added a flying saucer to the collection of air craft and had aliens running around, since Wright Pat Air Force Base (where the museum is) is the site of Hanger 18. In UFO lore, Hanger 18 is where the government took the alien bodies and the crased space craft after it crashed in Roswell, New Mexico. So they just had to add some UFO history to the evening. lol!!! It was a fun time, but it was horribly crowded. It took an hour and a half to even get into the place. So we didn't get to see as much as we would have liked, but it was fun.
We took Little One to a place called Sun Watch, which is a recreation of an Indian village. It was really neat. You could even go into their huts. It was the first time any of us had been there. I hope to go again soon, maybe take in some of their activities they do.
We took both of the boys to see the movie Night at the Museum, which was cute and took Prince Caspian to see Star Trek, which we all thought was awesome!!!!
I've also been spending a lot of time learning about affiliate marketing and been writing a lot for Squidoo and eHow. I'm starting to make some money, but it takes time. I'm trying to be patient. lol!!! It's hard to be patient when the bills are piling up, but we are better off then we were a few months ago, so that is good. I've also been adding some products to my Zazzle page.
I had Little One's evaluation last week. It went good. It took some time to get his portfolio together, but it turned out nice. We are done with school for the summer. We are going to continue to practice reading and we are going to be doing the library book club, but that is all. I need a break!!! Little One, I think would prefer to continue through the summer. lol!!!
Hopefully, now that summer is here, I will have more time to write on this blog. Things have just been really crazy around here. Hopefully, it is settling down, some. Catch you all later!
