Hello!  I hope everyone had a good weekend!   Monday is my Wedding Anniversary!!! Yay!!!  We will probably go out to eat tonight with LO and then go out on a date in a few weeks.  PC came over on Saturday and it was very good again.  PC and LO spent time together and that was really important to me.  LO was crying on Friday because he missed his brother.  He was in PC's room playing and then suddenly he burst into tears.  It was really heart wrenching to see.  Part of Saturday PC was playing on LO's computer a Lego game and LO sitting by him watching, but they were happy and getting a long and that's what matters.  Then they had a water gun fight with some of the neighbor kids and they were soaked!!!  PC had wore some old sneakers here and they were soaked and unfortunately he had an open sore on his ankle.  So I didn't want him wearing his shoes back to the grandparent's wet, so he wore my clogs there.  lol!!! The scary part is thinking about his foot being about as big as mine (I wear an 8- 8 1/2 size).  Sunday was pretty slow for us.  I did get some grocery shopping done.  LO went out to play with his friends, but he seemed to be having a bad day.  One of his friends actually told him he needed a nap!!! lol!!!

Hello!  I hope everyone had a good weekend!   PC came over on Saturday and it was really great.  None of the kids in the neighborhood were home so PC and Little One played together for awhile.  I was so thankful for this.  Little One has really been missing playing with PC, so I was glad he got the opportunity.  Sunday was pretty slow for us.

Hello!  I hope everyone had a good weekend!   We're a little under the weather here, but doing ok.  First, Little One got a cold and then gave it to Hubby and Me.  Friday night we had a storm that tore part of our tree off and it landed on our fence and the neighbor's pool.  Luckily, it did not damage their pool and only slight damage was done to the fence.  Hubby and the neighbor were able to move it off the fence and now it is sitting in the way of our swing set.

On Saturday,  PC came over for a little while and we cooked out and had milk shakes! YUM!!! On Sunday, I was too sick to go out for Father's day (I had a temp), so we postponed it for next week.  We started watching the movie Summer of the Monkeys which I highly recommend.

Hello!  I hope everyone had a good weekend!  I had a nice weekend.  PC (our oldest) was over on Saturday, but he headed for his friend's house as soon as he got here and we didn't spend much time with him. *sigh* It's a hard balance right now, I know he needs time with his friends since he almost never sees them.  This particle friend he has not really seen for about 6 months, but he also needs family time, so we are going to have to find a better balance.  Sunday was a lot of fun.  We took Little One to a living farm museum.  They had fresh outdoor oven baked bread.  It doesn't get a hard crust on it and it's slightly chewier.  They also had different types of natural honey to try.  LO did not like the orange blossom honey but did like the wildflower honey.  There was another one he tried but did not like but I can't remember what it was.  He got to see a black smith, an old schoolroom, and inside an old farmhouse.  We also got to see a horse, a rooster, some hens, a mule and some sheep.  We also got to check out some of the local wildflowers.  I plan to get pictures up soon, maybe for Wordless Wednesday, so check back if you are interested.  So over all, it was a fun, educational day.  We did make one boo boo.  We forgot to remind LO to change out of his church sandals.  They would NOT be my 1st choice of shows for a farm!!! lol!!! Luckily, they survived.  Sunday night after LO played outside for a little while and went on a walk with daddy, we started watching the movie The Rats of NIMH as a family.  Hopefully we'll get to see more of it Monday night.

Hello!  I hope everyone had a good weekend!  Mine has been busy, busy, busy!  Saturday, Hubby and I finally got to go out on a date for my birthday that was two weeks ago.  Hubby's mother and step father watched Little One for us while we went out.  First we went to see Indiana Jones and absolutely LOVED it.  Harrison Ford still has the ability to make a thrilling movie!!! It is NOT for young children though.  I doubt we'll let PC (our oldest who is almost 12) see it until he is about 15.  After that, we went to the Outback to eat.  Yum!!!  Unfortunately, the evening came to a climatic ending when we arrived home and Little One threw up on the kitchen floor.  We were pretty sure it was from too much sweets and from running around in the hot sun most of the day.  We decided it would be better to skip church and let the little guy sleep in and see how he is doing after a good night's sleep.  Well, he slept until 10:45!!! lol!!! I guess he was tired!!!  He seemed to be doing better so we went ahead with our Sunday plans which included seeing PC and taking the children to the cheapie theater and seeing Nim's Island.  We all absolutely loved this movie too!!!  My favorite line from the movie was, "I don't have to go to school because I'm homeschooled!".  And I must say, it was great to see a movie that didn't make homeschooling look bad but instead made it look exciting and fun. lol!!! The little girl lives on a gorgeous island alone with her father who is a marine biologist.  They are not social misfits, they just prefer the unsoiled beauty of the place.  The little girl is shown reading a lot and learning things from her surroundings.  After the movie we took PC back to his grandparent's house and did a little shopping.  Since it was near dinner time and we had nothing prepared, we just HAD to eat out!!! lol!!! We used a gift certificate that I had been given to my favorite restaurant, then headed home.  After I had my shower, Hubby and I started watching The Never Ending Story with Little One until his bed time.  Whew!!! What a weekend!!! I think we met our quota of going to the movies and out to eat for awhile!!! lol!!!
