Hello! I hope everyone had a good weekend! I had a nice weekend. PC (our oldest) was over on Saturday, but he headed for his friend's house as soon as he got here and we didn't spend much time with him. *sigh* It's a hard balance right now, I know he needs time with his friends since he almost never sees them. This particle friend he has not really seen for about 6 months, but he also needs family time, so we are going to have to find a better balance. Sunday was a lot of fun. We took Little One to a living farm museum. They had fresh outdoor oven baked bread. It doesn't get a hard crust on it and it's slightly chewier. They also had different types of natural honey to try. LO did not like the orange blossom honey but did like the wildflower honey. There was another one he tried but did not like but I can't remember what it was. He got to see a black smith, an old schoolroom, and inside an old farmhouse. We also got to see a horse, a rooster, some hens, a mule and some sheep. We also got to check out some of the local wildflowers. I plan to get pictures up soon, maybe for Wordless Wednesday, so check back if you are interested. So over all, it was a fun, educational day. We did make one boo boo. We forgot to remind LO to change out of his church sandals. They would NOT be my 1st choice of shows for a farm!!! lol!!! Luckily, they survived. Sunday night after LO played outside for a little while and went on a walk with daddy, we started watching the movie The Rats of NIMH as a family. Hopefully we'll get to see more of it Monday night.

Hello! I hope everyone had a good weekend! Mine has been busy, busy, busy! Saturday, Hubby and I finally got to go out on a date for my birthday that was two weeks ago. Hubby's mother and step father watched Little One for us while we went out. First we went to see Indiana Jones and absolutely LOVED it. Harrison Ford still has the ability to make a thrilling movie!!! It is NOT for young children though. I doubt we'll let PC (our oldest who is almost 12) see it until he is about 15. After that, we went to the Outback to eat. Yum!!! Unfortunately, the evening came to a climatic ending when we arrived home and Little One threw up on the kitchen floor. We were pretty sure it was from too much sweets and from running around in the hot sun most of the day. We decided it would be better to skip church and let the little guy sleep in and see how he is doing after a good night's sleep. Well, he slept until 10:45!!! lol!!! I guess he was tired!!! He seemed to be doing better so we went ahead with our Sunday plans which included seeing PC and taking the children to the cheapie theater and seeing Nim's Island. We all absolutely loved this movie too!!! My favorite line from the movie was, "I don't have to go to school because I'm homeschooled!". And I must say, it was great to see a movie that didn't make homeschooling look bad but instead made it look exciting and fun. lol!!! The little girl lives on a gorgeous island alone with her father who is a marine biologist. They are not social misfits, they just prefer the unsoiled beauty of the place. The little girl is shown reading a lot and learning things from her surroundings. After the movie we took PC back to his grandparent's house and did a little shopping. Since it was near dinner time and we had nothing prepared, we just HAD to eat out!!! lol!!! We used a gift certificate that I had been given to my favorite restaurant, then headed home. After I had my shower, Hubby and I started watching The Never Ending Story with Little One until his bed time. Whew!!! What a weekend!!! I think we met our quota of going to the movies and out to eat for awhile!!! lol!!!
