Hello! Welcome to Eclectic Education Homeschool! My name is Lynn and I am a Homeschooling WAHM. I write here about my daily happenings at home with my two darling sons. When I am not busy taking care of children, I write for eHow, make pages on Squidoo, and spend time designing merchandise for Lynn's Boutique. I also make free curriculum for homeschoolers to use at Homeschool Launch. I would love for you to check out my work. I hope that this blog will be a blessing to other Homeschool mothers and be a light for my Savior Jesus. So please pour yourself a cup of coffee and sit back and enjoy! Please also feel free to check out my website, Eclectic Education Homeschool Curriculum, for more homeschool tips. Thank you for visiting!
Apr. 7, 2009~ Lazy Boys ~
Last night Hubby and I were discussing our furniture, specifically our chairs. My parents are getting rid of a chair of theirs and we were discussing whether or not we would take it and what chair we would give up if we did.
I said: "We could get rid of the Lazy Boy."
Little One pipes in: "Me???" With a startled look on his face!
Little One tonight was sitting at the table when all of the sudden he said, "Mom is in so much trouble... your calendar doesn't reach a full month." lol!!! I guess we better be learning the little rhyme...
Thirty days hath September,
April, June, and November:
All the rest have thirty-one, excepting February alone,
which has twenty-eight days or,
in a leap year, adds one more.
Sep. 1, 2008~ Tightwad Tuesday, Weekend, Blogger Friend School and Quote From Little One ~
Great title, huh??? lol!!!! How was your weekend? Ours was busy. I was preparing for school which starts on Tuesday!!! Hubby had a lot of work to do too. He had a 4 day weekend, but it was not a pleasure time. We just had TONS to get caught up on.
First I wanted to mention that I will be doing Blogger Friend School this year and they have a nice contest going on right now to kick it off. If you like nature studies, you will like the prize! So why not go check it out!
Next, for my Tightwad Tuesday (at Mary's blog) tip:
Keep an eye out for sales even a AFTER you have bought a product!!!! lol!!! I bought a new mop on Saturday. Well, it is not one of those item where you can decide when to buy it based on sales, you kinda have to buy it when it is needed. Can you believe, mops (the one I JUST BOUGHT) went on sale at the store I bought it from THE VERY NEXT DAY!!!! I plan to take the receipt in so they can do a price adjustment. I don't think all stores do that, but quite a few will and it never hurts to try!!!!
Friday, we decided to go out to eat before we went to an ice cream social for our co-op. Well, we have been talking politics a lot lately, but we didn't think Little One was really paying much attention. lol!!!! I'm not even sure if he understands we are going to be electing a new President soon or not. Well anyways, Friday was kinda a big day for Dayton since McCain choose our small city to announce his running mate in. On our way out to eat, we passed a news car and I said, "it's probably going to McCain".
Little One pipes in, "Obama... McCain... What's this world coming too???"
Hubby and I died laughing!!!! We have know idea where he got that from!!!!
(BTW... this is NOT a political statement from me!!!! I keep politics out of my blog, so please do not make any controversial comments.)
Little One has these friends that he plays with all the time from next door and one of them is 8 years old. I will call this child "J". Well, apparently, Little One did not quite hear or understand what "J" told him.
Little One: "J said when you reach 9th grade you turn into a refreshment!"
LOL!!!!
Btw... Little One and I saw something really cool today. If you want to know what it is, go check out my nature blog.
