Hello! Welcome to Eclectic Education Homeschool! My name is Lynn and I am a Homeschooling WAHM. I write here about my daily happenings at home with my two darling sons. When I am not busy taking care of children, I write for eHow, make pages on Squidoo, and spend time designing merchandise for Lynn's Boutique. I also make free curriculum for homeschoolers to use at Homeschool Launch. I would love for you to check out my work. I hope that this blog will be a blessing to other Homeschool mothers and be a light for my Savior Jesus. So please pour yourself a cup of coffee and sit back and enjoy! Please also feel free to check out my website, Eclectic Education Homeschool Curriculum, for more homeschool tips. Thank you for visiting!

Wow, what a topic!!! Hmmmm.... over all I have pretty strong feelings on homeschooling. I feel I got a lousy education in the public school and I really want much better for my children. I get discouraged sometimes because I don't have a lot of family support. Please let me stress, for those of you that are lucky enough to have extended family that supports you homeschooling (or even has the courtesy not to express negative opinions), please don't take it for granted!!!! It gets very discouraging at times, but I know it's right for our family. Luckily my husband supports me in this. He is not as strong feelinged about it as I am by no means, but he does not stand in my way and does show support in other ways. I have also found a great support system in both my community and online. Let me tell any newbies out there, homeschoolers are really awsome about supporting each other!!!! Please get to know some other homeschoolers, because there probably will be times you will feel overwelmed, but having someone to share that with really helps.
This year is the 1st year I have some space set aside for homeschooling. The space has changed some since I took these pictures, but not much.
I'm pretty sure this link has been up before, but I really felt it should be mentioned again in case someone missed it. http://homeschoolfreebie.wholesomechildhood.com/ Basically this site gives away one free e-book or audio book a day, Monday - Friday. Also make sure you sign up for the newsletter so you can get an extra e-book a week. This site http://www.wowio.com/ offers free e-books with registration. Up until now it was offered in the USA only, but in one day (more of less) it is suppose to go global!!! If you are interested in studying the ocean anytime soon, please check out my other blog. I put a ton of ocean resources up over there. http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/HSBiz/567297/

I hope you are having a wonderful week. I was able to go out to dinner with my friend and get caught up with her. I do have a prayer request for her though. Her sister- in -law who is a young woman (about 40) has been fighting cancer for 3 years now and it and it seems like it is getting harder for her to fight it off. This family has 4 children the oldest only 12. Her youngest had to be born prematurely because of the cancer and has lived her whole life with her mommy very sick. This family is a wonderful family and it just tears me up inside when I think of what they are going through. You see I knew her brother very well (30 years) and he dated his wife from the time he was like in jr. high I think so I was just a little girl when they started going out and since I hung out at my friend's house a lot, I knew her too. Could you please pray for this lovely woman and her family?

I hope you all are having a good week. Monday, I took Little One to the eye doctor and he said he has a viral infection and gave him some drops to put in his eye. I also did a lot of shopping that day. Tuesday night we decided to take Little One to see Prince Caspian (the Movie) again. It's now at the cheap theater and it was the cheapie night. Every Tuesday, they have movies for $1.75, so we feel like we can afford to go. I was really encouraged because the movie has been at the cheapie theater for almost 2 weeks and it was still really full, more full than most movies we see there. I guess when America is given a good, clean movie to take their family to, they will go. I wish Hollywood would get the point. Well, we all loved it the second time around too! After the movie, we went to Dairy Queen for ice cream. We had a good night!
