Silver Mist and Rain
Written on my 16th birthday, but just now deemed ready for publication .
A silver mist and rain
softly hang 'tween heaven and earth
A liquid-chrystal gleam
far exceeding judge of worth.
The silver mist and rain
hang dangling on the leaves
The tiny droplets lace the edge--
water's graceful pattern weaves.
Of silver mist and rain;
bark reflects the light of dawn.
Of dewy dampness chill
ling'ring after flash-flood's gone.
Original composition, August 2007. |
