Planning Ahead

Em starts 4th grade in September. The big leagues! 4th grade is when school turns more serious and teachers generally expect more out of their students. Since I am a working mom now, I will be enlisting the help of a good friend! She has agreed to be Em's teacher twice a week (details are yet to be worked out). Here are my beginning plans for our first quarter: Religion: Keys for Kids daily devotions and Bible Discovery: In the Beginning Arithmetic: Times Tales (yes we are behind in math) and basic review Handwriting/Copywork: Copywork for Animal Lovers from Queen Homeschool Reading: Black Beauty, Alice in Wonderland (more to come) Science: Apologia Zoology Land Animals of the 6th Day History: Michigan History, asst. books English/Grammar: Language Lessons for the Elementary Child from Queen Homeschool, Wordly Wise 4 More to come!
