Everything's alright.

I'm in yet another melancholy mood. Life is ticking along fine. Kids are fine ,Hubbs fine. I need a holiday!!

This morning I got up really early and watched the God Channel prayer thingie. It was live from Israel with the most beautiful worship and I mulled over some stuff I think God wanted to address in me to do with insecurity.

It's funny really at the weekend I met a girl I used to go to school with (I was a bit mean to her actually.) and it brought back lots of memories. I don't know whats going on with me lately, drama queen!!

Anyway it is the season to be jolly after all.We are still hard at it with Christmas work sheets about traditions and symbolsm and the like. To be perfectly honest getting much work out of any of us at the moment is like getting blood out of  a stone, roll on the Christmas parties is what I say I think we need to party!!

I'm hoping for a very festive week next week full of frivolity!! No maybe thats not quite right.

We have a couple of parties planned to go to and a trip to a farm that puts on an interactive Nativity, plus a visit from Santa and delicious traditional treats. It is very atmostpheric and really helps get the focus on the main thing, which is JESUS people!!

Most of the folks we buy for at Christmas are now catered for and I've strict plans on the other stuff to get. We had some fab photo's done in a studio by a talented photographer that didn't break the bank. They looked like dear little cherubs and make easy non fuss pressies for a few peeps in our family, easy peasy!

In fact I stand back in amazement when I think of what we have done with our money this year. God has certainly been faithful to provide. We have been paying our mortgage for over 6 months now I'm so happy with that God is really looking after us..

I can't wait for tomorrow. Big guys are going to the study centre while littlies and myself are going Christmas craft and stocking filler shopping (on the quiet!). I'm sure I'll have time to stop for at least one Gingerbread Latte. I'm looking forward to doing something relaxing.I get my hair done next week looking forward to the pampering.

Think God has been showing me lately that I need comfort. There is nothing wrong with being comforted, just when you look for it in all the wrong places. It is so easy to feel rejected if your Mum or Dad  or friend says all the wrong things and their words are not quite what you were hoping to hear when you are looking for that bit of comfort.

A friend of mine remimded me that when we are needing that bit of comfort theres nothing wrong with saying to our Heavenly Daddy "comfort me,comfort me now!!"

It has to be better than stressing somebody else out and expecting them to meet all our needs.

What do you think?

I guess the Holidays can be really overwhelming for the best of us,maybe we are all in need of that little bit of comfort and not the southern kind!!

God Bless you all. Thanks for reading and please comment, good to know what you think.

I agree that it is so very easy to look for comfort from others instead of the true One who comforts. It can be so hard sometimes, but the Lord is always faithful. It sounds like you are getting all the things done that you want to get done. That is great. :)

I've really learned the hard way that the Lord is my only true Comforter. Pray without ceasing...

Praying for you...
