Seven weird things about me:

1. The other night I got up at 2.30am.I had thought it was time to get going.I can't see the clock from my side of the bed and Hub had told me it was 5.30am I was dressed and even tidied up by 2.30,I went back to bed fully clothed, grrr!

2.I cannot drive a car and have no desire to do so.Believe me anyone living near by you don't know how lucky you are!

3.I got married at 18 years old and have never regretted it.

4.When pregnant with little girl I accidentally put the tv remote in a box of chocs,we found it weeks later!

5.I eat millions of olives of every kind every year can't get enough of them!

6. I always have a stocking filled at Christmas,I had a pineapple in it once!!

7.I like all the people I do church with! Yes all!

Hope you are all enjoying the run up to Christmas?

Mud thick oozzy mud!!

I've been feeling very tired the last few day's. Thank God that His mercies are new every morning and you get that natural break in between and the opportunity to start again,I really need that.

As the title says I feel like I've been dragging myself through thick oozy mud.The weekend was filled with busyness and sorting through some emotionally draining issues as a family.

This week I feel wiped. My Gran is really ill and looked after by my Mum it is very demanding and upsetting,I try to give her support but sometimes I know there is just not enough of me to go around after the children have drained me!

Yesterday was a fantastic day though, spent with an old friend who I hope I will keep forever! The house was very full and rourkusly noisy, eight boys and a girl!! We had a really nice lunch went to the park and drank lots of tea.Just what I needed.

And there is a light at the end of the tunnel, some friends of ours have opened a home school study centre nearby. The boys are going to go there for a few hours a week to give us all a break. They don't have any thing much activity wise at the moment, apart from eldests theatre group,so I think it will do them good to spend some time away from the house. They are 9 and very nearly 11 and I feel it's the right time for us.

Life does feel a little strained at times,I'd appreciate prayer

As far as the learning goes this week we are plodding on nicely with our study of the book of Isaiah,Carol singing,a bit of Drama (the pretend kind!!),our usual Maths and reading through the Nutcracker,a bit of Design Tech and more creative writing.Their time at the Study Centre will be spent doing the work I give them and some Art provided by a Teacher.

Whilst the boys are out I'm going to town with the littlies, looking forward to that.

Have a Blessed week.xxxxxxxxxxxxx

This week.

Starting from Monday we have had quite a busy week.

Monday morning started with a Dentist checkup for the kids, which I'm pleased to say went well and showed that their teeth are fine and there are no problems. Phew...what with the lack of Dentists were we used to live the kids had only seen a Dentist once between them, not good I know. I had a very bad experience with Dental treatment, even though my teeth are fine. (now!)Anyway I decided to put my money were my mouth was(!!) and pay for the best Dentist I could find. Our new Dentist is lovely and I'm very happy for her to see my sencitive and quirky children!! Really that was quite an achievement for a dentaphobe. Only thing was though I had a mental block and when I came to pay with my card I forgot my pin number put it in wrong 3 times and had a block put on card!!?? Very embarassing.I remembered it as soon as I got out of there?

The afternoon was much less traumatic and we spent it learning about Guy Falkes and the Gunpowder Plot. Here in the UK we celebrate the fact that it was foiled and the Houses of Parliment didn't blow up!

In the evening we all  went

INSANE and my middle son nearly decapitated my eldest with the freezer door! Ignore that last bit,my son hyjacked this while I was away! The cheeky monkey!

So in the evening of the 5th we all went out to celebrate Bonfire Night. Our local community Centre had a Barbeque and some other activities for the children. It was free. It was really one of the best spots to see all the fireworks around the City, like watching 6 different displays all at once.It was a great evening, finished off with hot Chocs,a perfect ending.

Tuesday my mother inlaw came to help and we got stuck into our Festive theme. I had made some maths questions taylored to each child based on The Nutcracker. Lots of problem solving which went down well. (in the end, heh!)

After the maths we watched an animation of the Nutcracker. It was actually hilarious! But it did give a good outline of the story and at under three pounds I was pleased.

In the afternoon we looked at German Christmas traditions and learned about Martinmas, the life of St Martin (patron St of outcasts) and made lanterns used in the yearly celebrations. We enjoyed that and I ignored the lazy attitudes, yes I do expect....more writing!

We have kept up the Festive theme over the last two days, learning new carols, work in maths, creative writing and listening to the music of the Ballet of the Nutcracker and a bit about the composer. We finally got around to making our Christmas cake today. On the whole I feel peaceful at how this week is going.  Thanks Lord!!

What we did today.

Just a run of the mill boring post.

We have had a good week so far. Even with the reality of life kicking in as it always does.

Our strange drains decided to play up again causing a rather impresive flood in the downstairs loo!! After letting out the bath it flowed straight down and through! No wonder turning off the water at the mains made no difference at all.It is a possibility that there could be a small on going problem, all clear for now though. The drains people we had out 'Bee Clear' are excellent and don't rip you off. I had feared (after a chat with a plumber) a huge problem involving escavating the back yard etc, but the drains guy said it wouldn't be that drastic and was more likely to be a thing called the rest bend,so I thank the Lord for that.

He has taught me through this that I can face big problems whilst trusting Him. I had and sometimes do have a problem with facing problems and tackling them without heading for the hills or having a flip out. Anyone else like that?! Amazing that the flood thing  didn't even disrupt the day, the children just carried on with their Pop Art project and I filled the drain guys in on the situation!!

I would not have coped that long ago,I did feel like I was being put through my paces!! I think I passed that particular test, thanks to the Lord.

So on to more conventional posting!!

This week is the last one of the year for ordainary learning, next week it's onto an all out Christmas fest learning theme, for five or so weeks. We always have so much that we want to do. I thought I'd make a big project of it instead of slotting it in to the last couple of weeks.

I'm not all together sure about what it will look like apart from majorly featuring on celebrating the birth of Christ.

Also just to mention a few ideas we have along those lines,my eldest is keen to write and perform our own Pantomime so will probably do that and we have always wanted to explore the Nut Cracker, everything about it the music it's composer and Ballet and maybe some of the history around it. That and the usual craft and cooking activities.I hope to spend some time planning this weekend.

Got to shoot going round to inlaws. We get to go to a prayer for our City night tonight, just me and Hub. Its not a date but still looking forward to time together.

Hope you all have a terrific weekend.

Lots Love Sianne.xx

Tapas and tantrums!!

I think that must be the best title to date!!Ha,ha.

I did check with Hub before I typed some of this more personal stuff and he said it was ok. This weekend has been wonderful and traumatic all at the same time. I have been really going through some changes with God and have come face to face with the real me. God has allowed me to see some of my motives for what they are and spoken very clearly on issues very dear to my heart.

One of the things I've come to realise is that my relationship with Him is what matters not my pursuit and striving to be a perfect mother. That He should be my reason to get up early, not just to petition Him on what I need, to do a perfect job that day, but because I love Him and want to spend precious time only with Him . After all, all things, all the issues of life flow out of Him anyway!!?

Seek His Kingdom first and He will sort the rest, duh!!!(my version!!!!!!)

So I've been feeling under pressure and under valued and exploding out from under it! God has let Hub and kids  press all my buttons and got it all out and I've obligingly let it all hang out as only I can.

How do you ladies find it?? Shock horror I'm not perfect, but thank God I'm a work in progress and He wants to draw it all out.

The kind of thing I'm talking about and I'm going to get really honest about the pressures I feel, is that I don't have enough of me,feed bubba or have sex! Sorry to be blunt but I think we all know the realities of the job we do. It takes every bit of us but how amazing an opportunity to become like Christ!

So enough near to the bone face reddening stuff....erm..

We did  do some nice things as well this weekend we had Tapas!!

Life is good we are getting lots done educationally and I feel making progress.I love what we do and I love this time of year. I love the cosy feeling of being at home as family.

We had Church here today it is amazing how much more it feels like a home every time we host for church. It was a brilliant time of fellowship, teaching and worship I love it.

Take good care of yourselves here's to an inspiring week, GOD BLESS!!

It's that time again.

I thought it was time to blog again,to be honest I had not been very inspired and felt a bit bored with it. I guess it gets like that sometimes. But I still think it's a good thing to do so I'll keep on going.

I really appreciate comments from you lot aswell! So please if you have the time leave me some feedback when you pop in,I love it!!

The last two weeks have just passed so quickly,I can't believe we are nearly at the end of October and Christmas only just around the corner, jeepers!

Life is good ,not without it's ups and downs though and I have had the odd melt down here and there.

I have made a few adjustments here and there which I think will really help in doing life. Life gets so busy and tiredness takes over, clouding my mind and I can't see which way is up at times. I need to make sure I spend the odd moment alone or even away from the house,at the moment I don't.I don't drive so we shop on line so I don't even get to escape then, lol!

I need to make my Christmas cake soon, maybe this will be a good week. Dentist tomorrow lucky me!! I suppose I should just sit back and enjoy the peace and quiet. I have a new Dentist now who is really lovely, for that I'm very thankful!

In the evening a few of the girls from Church are getting together for coffee at a friends and I should only be required to have one conversation at a time and manage to finish a sentence, lol,I love my kids!!

Even a hot,hot cup of coffee, much needed and I'm really, really, really looking forward to it.

Nothing more to report  so I'll be off then!

Enjoy the week.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

So far so good.

I'm enjoying this week already and it's only day two!!

Last week must have done us all good.Having an early half term break really seemed to be just the ticket. This week has felt like a new start for us all, most of all because Hub started his new job yesterday, but there are other reasons.

I suppose I'd got into a bit of a rut concerning everything I do at home. Almost as if I'd slowly let a few things slip and it really had stolen my joy,not to mention my peace.

My life was feeling a bit stale, like I'd lost the enthusiasm. I've always been very excited about what we do at home but that just went. I think there were a number of factors,I say 'were' because I have found the answer again!   I basically was not spending much if not any time with God in prayer or Bible reading and more importantly just being with Him. It wasn't 'me 'time I needed but me and Him time! So after reading giggles3 blog about getting up very early I felt divinely inspired.

So since getting up earlier it has changed my life!!  It means I get time with Him,His presence is so awesome, one encounter will transform your lifeI had a cold for about two months which kept coming back,I just could not get rid of it. Two days in His presence has cured that. I also receive enough peace to stop me from exploding all over the place every time one of my children put a foot wrong. I also feel refreshed and more organised. It is really what I need, maybe early mornings are not for you!!

I have a high maintenance, high stress job so it makes sense that my need for grace would be greater, only found in His presence!  Simple really,I don't know why I've been dragging myself around for soooo long.  I guess with all the changes and stress going on with jobs and house move I'd lost my way a bit.

We have had some interesting times of learning together over the last couple of days. We watched Amazing Grace yesterday which I'd highly recommend. Apart from some of the dialogue and one or two scenes it is fine for young children to watch,I was a bit wary as obviously the topic is upsetting. It has been done brilliantly and seems to have kept in the facts without glorifying the horror of it all. It has been a great resource in the work we have done torwards history today. Along with that and the usual English Maths and Music,I think it has been fairly positive.

Time to go now,Big son wants the PC and we need to think about getting ourselves ready for a birthday visit to a little friend.

Have a good week.

Services no longer required!! 100th post!!!!!

Life has been ok since my last post, that word ok is a bit understated so it's an underlined OK. I feel like things are heading in just the right direction for us as a family. We paid our mortgage today.........yay!!

It is a brilliant thing for us to have done that with Hub only having 3 days' work last month. We have had a loan that we do need to pay back asap, but with Hub starting a new job next week I'm sure we can do it! We also might be having a lodger soon which would be a wonderful way of keeping the pennies rolling in,we are not one hundred percent sure yet if it's definite but it could be someone working for God TV. The children are so  excited at this prospect, star struck is what they are!!Actually that is probably inherited. I saw someone famous at Sainsbury's when I was with my m in l and I nearly died of embarassment when I thought she was going to go over and talk to them, pathetic I know!!

Last week was  good educationally. We had some good days of learning at home and found a lovely  spot with a Dam and a nature reserve. Great to see after our look at evidence for Creation in amazing creatures like Beavers and their Dam building skills!

We have been discovering some really nice green areas around here lately, with a lot of regeneration going on here there are some great parks and conservation areas. This morning we found another new one,a brand new play park and nature reserve with community compost area and little  orchard. This is a big city but full of hidden countryside it certainly is the city of discovery! We are pleased with our home here.

This week we have decided to take an early half term break as Hub is around. One of our plans is to visit the Eden Project, they have the worlds first mechanical theatre so I think that's worth a visit.

We met up again for church yesterday in our little groups, shared breakfast and shared life together. It was really nice to meet in a little group again, much easier to get to know people and enjoy their company and learn from each other. We are all so familiar with the stuff that is going on in each others' lives we can really support and encourage each other to keep on trusting and loving along the path with faith. That all sounded poetic didn't it!

Any way time to go.

Keep on keeping on.xxx

Foundation Stones.

Foundations are so important aren't they? Yes you can build in life without them but it's not long before it all comes crashing down is it?! It feels like it has taken years to get to where we are supposed to be.But I wouldn't change a thing!!

I know the times when I have tried to run before I could walk facing full on collisions.  So why am I so surprised that life should be so problematic, any journey has bends in the road!

I know all these years will not be wasted and will be good preperation for the future. Life's difficulties have a way of training you for what is ahead. All great character building stuff is going on here.

I know there will never be a time when we will stop growing. So life goes on and we are able to pay our mortgage and Hubb is looking at the possibility of a whole new job. The job is a bit more involved than he first thought and he'd have the opportunity to use and develop his management skills, people as opposed  to classroom!

It is very encouraging as the job is offered purely on the employer believing in Hubb's lovely character, as we know the owners of the business quite well. It is a well established firm so that's good.

We have students arriving for just one week at the end of October,so that will help us with money etc.

Monday was a fun but un planned sort of day. I'd planned to take the wee ones to the Museum to see the exhibition they have recently opened to celebrate the abolition of slavery. As Plymouth was a major Port it played a part in the nasty business. They have some interesting workshops coming up,to include storytelling and music all within an African theme. This is really great for our Plymouth history project.   Anyway back to Monday, unbeknown to me the Museum closes on Mondays!!  So obviously the only sensible thing to do was to go to Neros for coffee (unfortunate name there, for Chistians!!) After which we went home to watch a dvd looking at Creation scientists' views on Evolution and evidence for creation. We really enjoyed it and it sparked a great deal of interest. It's amazing how children think when they realise that we don't know everything, unlike how  they teach in schools sometimes. We are having a lot of fun with Science using the answers in Genesis and the CGP text book key stage 3.

Today was great actually. Amazingly what really worked in the end with all the ridiculous bad attitudes was a chart on the wall and for each of our sessions of learning they have to get a smiley,if I'm satisfied with their behaviour! It sounds very simple but seems to work.If they misbehave they lose priviliges

I know all this sounds really obvious but with everything we'd been through lately I'd lost it with discipline.

My eldest went off to his theatre group last night and had a fantastic time,I'm so happy for him. As far as Arts are concerned, we've really enjoyed a bit of study on Classical music Bach and Handel  over the last couple of weeks, and their Oratorios,so beautiful.  Any Christian home ed should look at these Oratorios that tell Biblical stories in so much detail, gorgeous. Thinking about Classic music I found a CD and book of the Nut Cracker to use at Christmas, can't wait.

Tomorrow sees the beginning of the Jewish festival Sukkot which we will celebrate,it involves building a shelter or booth in the corner of a room in the house and decorating it. There is obviously a lot more to it you can find out at a site called Torah Tots, very simplified!! (good for me!!)

Lots to do at the moment and life is nicely busy.

Take care of your good selves and God Bless you all!!

Phew what a week!!

Talk about testing times!

But we're still here and I can see a light at the end of the tunnel. For a couple of weeks or what seemed like an eternity, Hubb had no work, none at all not a sausage!! We had a very black Saturday as we contemplated not being able to pay the mortgage as the end of the month looms nearer and nearer

Hub spoke to a brilliant friend who has a business ,for some work, feeling a bit desperate. Not that working for him would not be good, just how we were feeling. The business is great and he would be fantastic to work for, anyway he offered Hubb a job.

At the end of the day on Monday he was given some supply teaching, three days this week at the same School, which was encouraging.

Our gorgeous loving family Spiritaly and phisicaly have said they wanted to help so we won't starve!! It's all about taking care of eachother.

We continue to build in our relationships together as a family and we are working hard at improving our learning and living together,it doesn't just happen does it!! ha ha!

We all sat down and had a good chat about everything then prayed at the end, their prayers were so heart felt and they just said how they felt..

It was a good time

Learning wise it's been a real cocktail of all different things really.Yesterday we had a lovely walk in the beautiful Green areas across the road from us.So funny to see little babe charging off in all directions, wanting to explore and experience everything. He really loved collecting leaves and sticks for us to classify!! He is heart meltingly cute! I could spend all day just playing with him it's such an amazing age for development. (14 months)

When we got back he'd had it and slept for a couple of hours!!We made some interesting paintings with what we found.

Looking forward to the next couple of day's,learning and visiting family and maybe a coffee out somewhere on Friday.Contented with my lot!!

It's me!

Well it's the end of another challenging day here doing what we call education.

It started pretty badly with me sending son out for whining at me,something that is a habit that we're breaking however slowly.Whatever he is asked to do or not to do is met with whinging, it can be waring. It was all I could do to stop myself from leaping over the table and .......I'll leave the rest up to your imagination!! Then I had the joyous task of breaking up the usual sqaubbles, shes looking at me and OH MY she touched me!! Call the Police!!

The thing that gets to me is the wasted time and sheer lack of  respect as I'm trying to speak, they are totally oblivious and carry on regardless!!!!oooohhhh

We did salvage the day though, with no more dramatic interludes.

We covered lots,English,Maths,Science and our Bible stuff.

I'm sure lots was learned about all manner of things, a complete mix including,Plurals and Nouns,DNA,Greed,Ordering numbers,Cells and what makes one, general arithmatic with very big numbers!! Well it astounds me.It's only by the grace of God that anything got done today, did I mention I have a virus?!! Had to get some sympathy!!

Hubb and I managed to get out for a bit to Sainsbury's Cafe for a business meeting!! Got some idea's,amazing what you can come up with when you have a mortgage and no income.  But we are still happy just a little stressed. Glad it's out of our hands.

What will He come up with next!!??

Back at last!

I suppose it hasn't been that long,it just feels like it. The computer died but was kindly brought back to life by a lovely helpful chap who seems to have given it a new lease of life.I'm sooo thankful to have it back. It had been slowing down for a while. Now it seems quite speedy for an old boy!!We used a local firm who were really reasonable,it feels nice to support local business.

I'm not sure when I'll get round to posting photos again. Life here has gone back very quickly to the learning pattern we usually follow and we've been going for it since Wednesday! Is that all seems like weeks!! It is funny how quick it is to go back to the old schedule.

We had some great days out at last towards the end of the summer hols,a couple of theme parks and the beach, we played hard and made the most of it.

My little  Princess is going to be 5!  Can't believe it! Of course a Princess party is planned. What else?!! But pink is dead easy.

It was a good day today,we climbed one of the Tors near here, not that easy with buggy, need one of those back pack things. The view was well worth it.From up high we watched ponies galloping and lolloping and biting and kicking each other too! We saw stupid sheep lying in the road. Sorry animal lovers I do love sheep but they are hardly signed up to Mensa now are they?!!Nevertheless a beautiful sight. Creation in all its beauty and reality! Afterward we carried on a bit further down the road and went to a pretty little cafe, but the coffee was yuck! Maybe I'm too fussy?

So Saturday is party til you drop then on Sunday little girl's actual birthday we're having a day at the beach and taking church with us

Love to you all,

xxxxx

Adventures in Bathroom fitting!

I really wish I had loads of lovely days out to blog about but alas not,so let me tell you about the progress of the Bathroom. You may want to grab a stong cup of coffee.

Our more than gracious plumber ripped out the old Bathroom, obviously good. The only problem was the floor or to be more accurate no floor, almost none. What was there had more wobble than a jelly and about as straight as something that isn't.

Thank the Lord we know a brilliant carpenter who is also a friend and extemely clever and doesn't muck about. He came and had a look and before we knew it we had a new wooden floor, which will be fab for now and it means we can get the Bathroom finished.

Let me tell you a little about the day. My Mother visited in the morning and we went to Hubs parents for Bathroom purposes and food!

Sorry to be soooo boring. My Gran very kindly treated us to money for a day out so who knows my blog could be about something other than these four walls.

OOOOHHHH,Something very, very exciting my little 'un is walking!! At fourteen months it is actually early for our guys!! He almost runs, even though he has nowhere near perfected walking, like trying to walk down the stairs before walking!!?I get the impression he is going to do things just a little bit differently!

I do have my digi camera up and running but am having trouble getting  pics on this, any helpful tips would be appreciated.

Praying you all have peace and heaps of blessing...........xx

Freebie Friday!!

Something really good happened to us the other day, someone who had ordered themselves a new Printer, made a mistake and ordered two, instead of sending it back they thought we should have it.

Our Printer has been rubbish since we had it really. It was free with the computer so we kept it going even though it broke down all the time.Tempremental was not the word! I am the sort of person who will use things until they are on their last legs rather than pay out for new!! Bit daft actually.

So a brand new Printer has been first on our shopping list for a long time. And this  Printer is one of those all singing all dancing ones with photo thing, fax and scanner. It really is an awesame blessing admist everything.

Today I've felt quite numb to be honest. In the last four months we have been going through some difficult stuff, moving, house repairs (no bathroom) and Hubbs contract finishing, and general tiredness with normal family life, breast feeding at night I think makes me crazy as well as tired!I do believe that we were lead here for purpose and destiny and all will work out well,it's just going through the uncertainty of it all I guess. I have faith for the future but emotionally and physically I feel totally drained.

Just being able to admit how I feel helps and knowing that it is ok to be weak and need some space sometimes is freeing. I was supposed to be going to a friends for dinner tonight but couldn't face it. I can hardly put two words together ,let alone hold a decent conversation. She is such a gorgeous person though and really understood.

I know not everyone goes so deep on their blog I can't help it,I am a bare your soul sort of a person!

We are all ready for academics again come September. My cupboards are almost complete and I have new books and plans to hopefully take us to Christmas. Still awaiting bathroom, should get started next week. Prepare for some very boring posts on the diversity of bath products!

I'll keep you all in my thoughts and prayers, could do with yours at the minute.

Lots Love............

Not a lot.

Nothing very exciting to blog really, but I do like to keep up and keep in touch!

All paying guests have vacated. It is quite strange actually. We have been run ragged over the last few weeks,it almost feels a bit shocking. I'm sure we will adapt.

Our bathroom is now sitting in the spare room awaiting assembly.

Feel like I'm being sqeezed again but then I do like to live near the edge,we still don't have any idea of what Hub will be doing job wise and might not til September. It's going to be good though. This time we are in, is certainly a faith grower and stretcher.

I'm sure by Christmas everything will be more settled, heres to Christmas!!

One more week to go!!

Ha that is so naughty I know.I really  didn't fully appreciate the demanding nature of my current predicament, read back incase you haven't already.

One international darling at a time I think is key,I'll leave it at that,I don't want to spend the whole post whinging. There are many good sides to our situation we will have gained some wisdom and patience and self control and, and!! ENOUGH!

I've had the luxury of having the last two afternoons to myself, apart from my little sleeping beauty,(why does he always wake up the second I start to blog!!?) So I've been watching God Tv and reading, internetting and becoming more inspired for the new term in September. I know it will be very structured into the individual subjects, something I don't always do,apart from most of the maths we do.

We are going to really delve into the History of where we live.We live in one of the oldest parts of our city.

When these Victorian houses were built a railway line ran right outside our house, now a park.So I'm sure with a look at a great website I've found put together by a local and books and outings inc the museum,we will come up with some kind of interesting project.

I feel that we will be looking a lot at our beliefs and our Christian world view, using a lot of science and natural history. Answers in Genesis has an ace site,I've ordered some of their resources. The whole question of moral ethics using knowledge and making choices connected with what we believe is right ,relating to doing things as humans just because we can. I'm thinking of things like looking after the created planet and genetics, that type of thing. It is just a lot of stuff floating around my head at the mo,need to ground it.I hope something of that is understandable!!

In terms of numeracy and literacy I have purchased some excellent books,CGP,who also have a really good site (worth looking at). CGPBOOKS.

Better escape now before everyone appears and I'm wrestled to the ground for the use of the computer.

AAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!Only joking.

By the way the weather here is wonderful, making good use of it with washing and parks. Sorry did you fall off your seat with that excilleratingly interesting bit of news, sorry!

One last thing my eldest boy,cue proud Mummy,is taking part in a Theatre Royal workshop all this week, first time he's been out on his own all day,my precious little first born *(he loves that!) and he is in a production of Alice in Wonderland on Friday with lines and all, bless!! (adaptation)

I'll leave you with that as I really must be going, take care.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Birthday madness.

Yesterday was my middle sons ninth birthday,he had a really great time. Friends and family popped in through the day ending with a little birthday tea. Most of it was spent outside playing in the green bit opposite our house which is very handy for bikes, roller blades and general scooting about, there are also two play parks in either direction also very handy. So the best part about my boys birthday for him was the freedom of being able to play out,not something wev'e ever been able to do so easily before in the many different places we've lived. Is was great to see him getting to know new friends.

The Dad of some (5) of his new friends is building us some built in storage for our schoolie type playroom, which basically makes me dance about the room!! It's soooo big I think I shall have to buy more stuff!! (joke!) Now I want these beautiful cupboards everywhere!! Is that going a bit far am I still reasonably sane?

The paying guests are still residing at hotel Spry,we've been hosting now for  about 5 weeks and  it feels like it too! The two we have now are quite demanding, partly because they are with us all the time, one has 2 hours of lessons a day provided by Hubb, but mostly because they just are. I really don't want to moan but indesicive and contrary are two characteristics I wouldn't be looking for in students again!!

I'm sure you can imagine the pitfalls of this little bit of the united nations we have going on here .

There are however some brilliant things going on too,my kids are learning loads and they will have excellent people skills once the loves have gone back to their respective nations.

DAH,DAH,DAH,we have ordered our bathroom suite and it should be here by the 13th of August  and our wonderful plumber should have it ready to go soon after, bless his heart! All this hard work will be rewarded.

After this looooong busy, action packed summer I'm really looking forward to the Autumn.

Have a great and fantastical week,or whats left!
