Confessions of a Homeschool Mom

Feb. 24, 2006

I am hopeful

that my headaches are going away.  It's been 6 days since I've had to spend anytime in bed.  This week has been great- I've been able to do everything I've planned!  That has not happened in 4 months.  I'm trying to be cautiously optimistic without getting my hopes up.  I have an appointment with the neurologist next week which I will probably keep, just in case.  But, truly, it has been a miracle.  God has healed me, at least for this week.

Ordered List

Now I have to change the way I've been thinking.  I have been taken care of these 4 months, letting everybody do everything for me because I was helpless to do it myself.  Now that I can do everything, I'm finding I get so tired even thinking about what needs to be done!  My house needs a serious decluttering and deep cleaning.  I have to remind myself to tackle one thing at a time.

Thank you for all the prayers!  Keep praying that my healing will be permanent.

Feb. 24, 2006 - Healing from headaches

Posted by KateV
Hi there, I was just browsing, and I came across your entry. I wanted to let you know that God is a healing God. He ALWAYS desires to heal. Isaiah says "Surely He has caried our griefs and bore all our sorrows....and by His stripes ye WERE healed" Our healing as Christians is a finished work on the cross. We just have to believe that we have healing, confess healing, and act healed. It is as much a gift to us as Salvation! Headaches or anyother sickness are NOT of God, who is the Father of Lights, they are from the enemy. God wants You well, not sick! Why would He put headaches on you one minute, and heal you the next. The Bible says He NEVER changes. He is not scitzophranic. He is author of life and not death. Believe Him to be the God that heals ALL your diseases. He will come through for You. Walk in the healing He already paid for, for YOU. The other day, I felt the flu coming on so strong, I said "Devil, you will not put this sickness on my body, I am a child of the Lord, sickness does not reign in me, I rebuke You now in Jesus name". I then sat down, opened my bible to Isaiah 53:4,5. And read it over and over again out loud, and within 30 minutes, all my symptoms of ache, nausea, and fever were GONE! The Word of God is the answer to everything. God always wants the best for you. You are His beloved! God bless you!

About Me

Homeschool moms are not perfect! Sometimes we imagine every other homeschool family has "it all together". Well, guess what? Mine doesn't. This is a journal of my journey through homeschooling. It's not all pretty, but it's all life.
