"No more teacher's dirty looks..."

and that’s good. Because the teacher is me...and there were lots of dirty and dark looks, and even impatient words in our house last week.  But we’ve finally completed our portfolios and evaluations, and can officially get into summer mode. Woo hoo.

I’d say it’s been the toughest year of homeschooling that we’ve had so far...an upstream swim all the way. But we’ve learned some lessons (the hard way!) that we’re not likely to forget.

So...to launch the celebration of summer festivities we’re going to start by cleaning the house today...top to bottom.     The  kids are REALLY excited about it. And if you believe that...I’ve started a sideline selling swamps in Florida...Have I got a deal for you!

Since we live just north of The Swamp! LOL! Glad you have your paperwork behind you. I've heard that homeschooling in PA can be a real pain. In Florida, I just submit one sheet of paper the verifies my children were evaluated and found in compliance. Come on down and we will go into real-estate together! Have a great summer, dear friend! Love ~ Patricia

on finishing your portfolio. I'm glad I'm in CO for homeschool and not PA; but everytime I'm back there I do so long for trees! Oh well. Glad you can move on to summer and that the oreos are safe for the next week or two!

P.S. For what it's worth, the CO supply of M&M's didn't fair so well this week.

Did you get the house cleaned? I love a clean house. My Gramma not only stayed with Allen and the animals while Doug and I were at the lake, but she dusted and swept the downstairs AND cleaned the kitchen! Isn't my Grammy sweet?

Now I just have to organize the school room....ahhh....a task better left til July :)

Have a great summer~Kelly
