Isn't he a cutie? And here's what's so special about him. My daughter drew him yesterday, after watching a FREE drawing tutorial at Jan Brett's site.  This is a website that is well worth visiting. There are dozens of  activites for kids, wonderful printouts, and many excellent video drawing tutorials - all FREE.  I know it's a site we will use again and again.

My daughter scanned her drawing and printed out a few copies. She wants to practice watercoloring him now, and adding different backgrounds. She's just having way too much fun with this...I might have to do a drawing now too!

OH MY GOODNESS, your daughter is SO talented!!! It is a wonderful hedgehog! My son was bitten by the loose hedgehog at the zoo one day -- it chose him out of over 30 kids who were looking at the sweet thing -- so, needless to say, we have NOT drawn the hedgehog! He, even 5 years later, doesn't like them yet! :) lol!

Be sure to try the bunny video - it's a cute one, too.

Ok, I'll confess. I hopped over there and tryed it out. I did the bear, armadillo, and hedgehog. Well....I did the hedhehog twice, cuz the first one was too fat. I think my bear turned out best. I love sites like those. Thanks for sharing!

.. my husband promised to take us to Ireland someday.. i am really looking forward to it. he just downloaded me the revival in belfast cd as well, been playing in my laptop for days now. oh.. btw, your daughter can really draw, my 9 yo son should be embarrassed..lol
