SNAKES!

The girls came running in the house after checking the mail shouting "Snake!  There's a SNAKE in the driveway!"  I grabbed my shoes and went to inspect.  Sure enough, there was a snake in the driveway.  A dead snake, but a snake nonetheless.

A quick trip to enature.com told us he was a Rough Green Snake.  He apparently lives in trees.  We don't know he was killed, he didn't seem flattened but he did have a few cuts and some gut spillage.

And speaking of snakes, the other day Mike saw what he thinks was a Lined Snake while working in the yard.

Snakes are just not my thing.  Even these harmless little ones creep me out.

I take it that the actual snakes were unavailable, and their stunt doubles have been photographed in their stead. ;-)

ROFL about "stunt doubles" Sorry you had to be creeped out by the snakes. For me, as long as it isn't a spider of any shape, size, or color, I'm ok. I don't know if you've had chickens before but their feed will attract rats and the rats and mice will attract more snakes. Just so you are warned.
