Summer Dreamin

Summer is officially over and we have two cool hours in the morning to prove it.  Every season has it's beauties, and while summer is not my favorite I thought I would share the highlights of the one just passed.

Here they are, in no particular order.

• Listening to the girls play piano duets with Nana
• Yellow-breasted birds knocking on our windows
• Ethan and Ezra officially becoming Elliotts
• Papa teaching Ethan and Eli that their floaties really do float
• Reuniting with parents and siblings and spending the kind of time we used to take for granted
• Scenery and conversation on our family road trip
• Watching the kids climb the rocks at Garden of the Gods-they were so proud of themselves.  The boys couldn't keep the swagger out of their steps.
• A quiet house while happy kids swam in the pool
• The smell of everything after a summer rain
• The Big Night Out et. al
• A quick but precious visit from K

Those are a few of the things that made last summer special.  Isn't it great to look back and see how good God has been to us?  What are some highlights from your summer?
