Is Shopping Neutral??

You can't serve two masters, and Wal-Mart doesn't try.  Like most corporations, they have chosen the almighty dollar as their god of choice.  There has been a big hoopla since their August announcement of support of The National Gay and Lesbian Alliance.  Now they are one of the sponsors for Idaho State University's Diversity Week, and 5% of online sales are going to support the Washington, D.C., Community Center for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender People.  It is clear that Wal-Mart is throwing it's money and it's clout behind the homosexual agenda.  And now they are throwing the Christians a bone and reinstating Merry Christmas this year.  They say "learned their lesson" after last year's boycott over Season's Greetings.

It is a sad commentary on today's Christians when a company feels it can openly support the homosexual agenda with no ill effects, but knows they better say "Merry Christmas" while they do it.

For me, it is a much bigger deal to know that every dollar I put in Wal-Mart coffers is another they have to spend on anti-family, anti-God agendas than whether they give lip service to the King in December.

How many of us will vote to protect marriage and finance it's destruction because it is cheaper or convenient?  Will we hand over the resources God has enrusted us with to an organization actively promoting that which He abhors, as long as they say Merry Christmas when they take it?

The AFA is asking for Christians to boycott Wal-Mart on the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving in protest of their support of the homosexual agenda.  Apparently it worked to overthrow Seasons Greetings.  I guess we each have to decide if that's enough.

I have a better idea, let's boycott them forever. We have chosen to never buy anything from Walmart again. I won't go to them unless I have absolutely no choice. This was a good post.

That is an EXCELLENT point about Christians worrying about lip service than whether or not their dollars are supporting sodomite agenda.
