One Day at a Time

Jun. 15, 2007 - Summerschool

Things have not gone quite as I had planned!

My kids got a chance to attend soccer camp for FREE and I just couldn't pass that up for them.  So this week Izzy and Noah have been going to soccer camp all day and then swim class at night.  Gabe and Sam (sigh... and Rosie) have been doing school, mainly math and reading for Gabe and math and science for Sam.  Next week, Gabe and Sam get to go and I'll have the little kids.  But after that I really want to be in full fledged summer school!!!

Hi! I really enjoyed browsing your site! You visited my blog a while back and asked about my son who graduated from homeschooling. He actually attended college as a concurrent student while he was still homeschooling. After he graduated, he went right into college at the Ohio State University branch in Newark, Ohio. They didn't give us any special privileges, but they also didn't give us any trouble. :-) He later transferred to Kent State University, branch in New Philadelphia, Ohio. He is a junior and should be able to graduate in about 1 1/2 years. He's done well, thanks to good homeschooling! Also, I've added you as a friend! Please let me know if you have any other questions! (P.S. My 11th grader son will be starting college this fall as a concurrent student also - at a local technical school!) Take care!

About Me

Pr 1:8 - Hear, my son, your father's instruction And do not forsake your mother's teaching; Ohio Law says: "An academic assessment report of the child must be sent to the superintendent annually. This report can be the results of a nationally normed, standardized test or it can be a written narrative indicating that a portfolio of the child's work has been reviewed by a certified teacher." This is our "on-line" portfolio! I hope to turn this into our chosen certified teacher, Dr. Karen Holinga, for her to review for the end of the year assessment.
