Inspiration at last!

Last night Eni and I must've stayed up until midnight at least listening to the Passion of the Christ soundtrack.  One word:  wow.  If you haven't heard it, then you simply have to!  It is without a doubt the most amazing, ineffably beautiful soundtrack I have ever heard.  (Except perhaps the Lord of the Rings, but even then it'd be hard to choose!)  If you like emotional music, then you'll love this; it nearly brought me to tears.  Watching the movie was difficult enough, but listening to the soundtrack brought it all back.  The whole time while we were listening, Eni and I would narrate parts of it like it was a movie.  This may sound odd to most of you, so I guess you won't know what I'm talking about unless you've done it yourself at one time or another.

I'm currently writing a fanfic about a Gondorian girl who becomes enthralled by a band of slave traders from the East, and much of the story takes place in Rhûn.  Since the music from the
Passion is very Eastern, it provided the perfect background music for me to go over the story in my head.  Now Eni and I are both greatly inspired.  My goal is to write more of my fanfic, while Eni plans to illustrate it.  (Her drawings are absolutely amazing -- I'll have to show you a few sometime, since she hasn't posted any on her blog.)

Well, I guess that's it for now.  My brother and I have a make-up piano lesson today, since our usual lesson on Monday was cancelled due to plumbing problems at my piano teacher's house.  I can't wait!

Until our paths cross again,
-Tinuviel

I actually just got inspiration too. Part of it came from talking about my story with Queen Flora, and part of it came from listening to the 'Master and Commander' sound track, track one 'the far side of the world' that song sounds just like the ending of our book. Got to go.

Thanks for commenting! I'm so glad you liked the story so far...it's definitely a work in progress, but it's coming along.
Oh, bother...I'll work on the template and see if I can get it to work on more computers than just mine! :-D

That is neat, I haven't heard the 'Passion of the Christ' soundtrack or seen the movie. Your story sounds really cool all the same though! =)
Yeah, I've heard of the Brio magazine, got one once too, looked pretty neat.

I haven't seen or heard The Passion of the Christ, but you've inspired me to look up the soundtrack. See, inspiration's all around, these days! Nonetheless, I know exactly what you mean. Some music can just... speak. There is some music that you can just lose yourself in for hours and hours, forgeting all else, the need to eat and sleep just fades into the background - until little siblings invade and demolish the mood entirely. Which is why midnight is actually a very good time for that sort of thing!

Your fanfiction sounds fantastic - I don't think I've read anything set in Rhϋn before! You've got practically a clean slate there, havn't you? As far as I remember Tolkien said more about Harad than he did Rhϋn, and that was practically nothing! I'd really, really love to read it! I'd love to see Eni's drawings, too - she must be a fantastic asset to you! I've tried illistrating some of my fanfiction but it didn't really... work. Suffice to say that I'm not really much of an artist.

CRAZYMAN!!! sounds an...interesting guy to have around. And yes, I'd be delighted to see a picture! Where do brothers think up these things?

Another interesting and entirly unpredictible post! ;)

Thank you for the comment.

I have yet to here the Passions soundtrack, but I'll have to put that on my list.

Your fanfic sounds fascinating. I've probably already mentioned this, but Neama started out as a character in a really messed up mental-fanfic.

God Bless!

Quote of the Week

Thank goodness I was never sent to school, it would have rubbed off some of the originality.
