The Parting of the Ways
After a good deal of contemplation, we have come to the conclusion that the time has come to move on. As much as we've enjoyed our time here, and making such nice friends, we've decided that this blog has seen better days. Therefore, we regret to announce--- well, no, actually we don't regret it, so just forget that!
The fact is, we have decided to close Elvish Musings.
Before you start lamenting our HSB deaths, let us assure you that we are not abandoning HSB. Far from it! We have enjoyed every minute of our time here, but sharing a co-blog is getting confusing. The comments and messages keep getting mixed up, and the friends list has gone to shambles; therefore, we've decided to get separate blogs. Nimrodel will now be posting here, and Tinuviel will be posting here. We hope you will check out our new blogs, and add us to your friends lists (again!)
Signed for the last time,
~ Nimrodel and Tinuviel
EDIT: For those of you who are wondering if we will still keep up Elvish Musings, the answer is yes. We just won't continue to update it.
Croc Toria tagged anyone reading her tag, so we both decided to do it. Here are our answers:

Sunday night, October 28 - Oh I'm tired, but I want to post this:
Well Halloween is over, well not really, but in my town we trick or treat the Sunday before Halloween, so it's kind of over for me. It was fun, but busy. On Friday night me and Tinuviel went with our families, to the local YMCA for a Halloween party, it was fun at first, but I wore a civil war era dress complete with hoop skirt, so I couldn't go on the moon bounce or slide (not that it would have been very fun anyway) and we didn't want to get our face painted, so the only other thing to do was the haunted house, which was gruesome. And then some weird guy in it asked if I was supposed to be Mary Poppins. And some other kid (also weird) asked if I was supposed to be a "rich lady" and, pointing to Tinuviel, "is she supposed to be a witch?" She was wearing a medieval gown!
Today we went trick or treating, and I wore shoes that hurt my feet, and then we went to our clubhouse, (which is the attic above Tinuviel's garage) and had a Halloween party that was loud and crazy. So now I'm really tired, I better go to bed.

Monday morning - Tinuviel here. As Nimrodel so truthfully put it, the last several days have been quite eventful, and now we are exhausted. I know many users on HSB don't participate in Halloween, and such was true of me and my family for the last fifteen years. However, my mother finally relented and let us children go trick-or-treating this year, as long as we didn't dress up as anything evil, gruesome, etc. It was a fun experience, though Nimrodel and I received more than a few odd looks (we must have been the oldest kids trick-or-treating!). I'm not sure if I'll do it again next year, but I'm glad to be able to say that I've been trick-or-treating at least once in my life. Nimrodel and I will post pictures of our costumes later.
Last evening, my seven year-old cousin flew in from New York, and we are all glad to see him. He and my two younger brothers have been having a blast together (my brothers are ages 9 and 11), and I think they will be especially sad to see him go on Wednesday. Tomorrow we have homeschool PE at the local YMCA, and my cousin will be able to go with us. PE is, naturally, my least favorite part of the week (we participate Tuesdays and Thursdays), but it has become more tolerable since Nimrodel and two of her three sisters have joined us. Right now we are studying soccer.
See how I ramble on? I meant to only post about the trick-or-treating, but once I start writing, I tend to go on and on...
For those of you who don't speak Elvish, 'well met!'
The first post is always the hardest, so we're going to begin by introducing ourselves:*
Nimrodel Hello, my name is Nimrodel, I am almost fourteen years old, and the oldest of four girls. Me and my three sisters are home schooled, in my spare time I like writing my own stories and poems, reading, sewing, biking and having tea parties. Oh! I almost forgot the most important thing you should know about me, I LOVE ANIMALS, like a LOT! I have a cat named Abby, and am trying to talk my parents into adopting a dog from an animal shelter. um, I think thats about it for now.
Tinuviel I'm Tinuviel, obviously. I'm fifteen years old and have been homeschooling all my life. Like Nimrodel, I am the oldest child of seven children. Living in a large family can be exasperating at times, but for the most part, I'm quite content. I am the proud 'mother' of three male rats: Harvey, Jasper, and Christoff (I'll post pictures later on). Chief among my interests are reading, writing, and web design. Also, I am head over heels in love with the Lord of the Rings and am constantly striving to expand my knowledge of Middle-Earth and all the wonderful people and cultures J.R.R. Tolkien created. I am inspired by sad music, bad weather, and fantasy.
There you have it! Our first post. :) Not very satisfying, but hopefully you'll get an idea of who's behind the blog.
~ Nimrodel and Tinuviel
* For convenience's sake, Tinuviel's posts will be written in italics and Nimrodel's will be normal.
We go by Nimrodel and Tinuviel, two bosom friends writing a blog together. As you may have already noticed, we both possess a deep love for all things
Elven, and are convinced that we're really elves in disguise. (Hey, girls can dream, can't they?) We're Christians, and do our best to honor God in all
things.
