You know... I have many (or rather one or two) friends that don't really grasp the fact that God loves them more than anything else in the entire world! God loves people in general, more than we will ever know or understand - He sent His son, Jesus, to die for us! Now if that is not love, then I don't know what is? Jesus loves us so much... He came to this dirty and sinful earth, He died for us on the cross "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." (John 15:13)
Here are a few other verses that tell of the great love God has for us - just for easy reference:

Now, if you don't know how much God loves you, if you don't want to know how much He loves you, I'll tell you one thing - you're missing out! Knowing that you're loved no matter what you do, what you say, how you act or have acted, or anything, is one of the best feelings in the world! God will love you no matter what! He may not like what you do, or have done, but He will forgive you for anything - and that, it's just another way for Him to prove His everlasting love for you [and me]. ;-)
It's amazing isn't it?! God is always right there loving us, when we fall, when we rise. He's fully aware of what happens to us each moment, and he's right here in our hearts. When you feel crummy, you can tell God. I sure do, and he has the most amazing answers! A lot of times I just feel a tug on my heart to steal away to my room for just a moment to pray. It's a little assurance. It's like being in love! I didn't know it was so seriously real until I actually fell in love with him... It starts first by meeting him, and then by inviting him to share in your little things, and big things. Invite Jesus to go on a walk with you, have a talk with him.

Your Blog got me to thinking about being Christlike in this sinful world. He loved this world enough to suffer & die for them! What about me? Hmmmm, do i have that kind of love in my heart like Him? Do i really love my enemies? Do i love those who hate me? Do i pray for those who despitefully use me?
O i could write a book on "do i's"!!!!!
O.....what a wretched man that i am. I think it's time to get back into the "Prayer Closet" for work on my heart.
