Dec. 18, 2005 - Barbie Party for Pappy
Pappy strongly dislikes Barbies. My sisters and I tease him a lot about not liking them. One time my grandma and all of us girls decided that for his birthday we would throw him a Barbie party. We went to the store and found a lot of Barbie items. We decorated the table with them.
Grandma had been collecting quite a few Barbie items for this party. She had this wonderful honeycomb Barbie centerpiece, and we set it in the center of the table. We surrounded it with a pink feather boa. Along with this, Grandma had some pink cups, which we placed Barbie stickers on. We even hung a "Happy Birthday" banner with a big Barbie on it. Grandma had also found a Barbie game that had a cardboard Barbie in it and also a few other items, which we hung on Grandpa's headboard. We also decorated around his computer, and we had another banner which we hung in the den.
All of us girls dressed up as Barbies. I was dressed as a princess Barbie with a tiara. PepperySleuth was dressed up as a beach Barbie. She wore a sarong over her skirt and a bright pink blouse. QuickWitted was a ballerina Barbie, and she wore a little tutu over her pink pants (to stay modest). She also wore a pink blouse with silver and a Barbie on it in the middle.
