Dec. 18, 2005 - A Day with Granny and Pappy

My grandparents stayed in a resort about an hour away from us.  My sisters and I spenta day with them there.  When we were there, they took us different places.  We went miniature golfing and in bumper boats.

I was kind of scared to go in the bumper boats, because I have hydrophobia.  It was hard to control the boat.  There were these squirters that you could press to shoot water at everyone else.  I kinda disliked the fact that they kept spinning around when you tried to control them.  I enjoyed bumping into people.  That was a lot of fun!  When you bumped into other people, I made them wet and got wet too!  I shot water at my sisters, and I even shot water at Granny and Pappy even though they were not in the boats.

Miniature golfing was fun.  When we first started out, we started the eighteenth hole!  PepperySleuth and QuickWitted had to go back to retrieve the balls so that we could go to the first hole.  I had the best score (Who would have thought?!)!  Pappy always went last because he was the man, which was very genteel of him.

Sounds like you had a fun day. Congratulations for over coming the fear of water and going in the bumper boats. It really paid off! Welcome to HSB! Looking forward to reading more of what you are doing!
