Saturday, November 21, 2009 - Hunting
We came home from Oregon 3 weeks ago, and we stayed home for 1 day, then us older kids and Dad went to the mountains to go kill off some deer so we can have meat for the rest of the year. And, guess what?! I've got pictures! Joe got a big doe, Ben got a doe and her baby buck, and Kate got her first deer, a yearling Buck.
I can't find the pictures for them, so we will switch to the second time we went hunting, this last week.

Camp! Most likely everyone (except the one taking the picture) was eating lunch inside the big camper.

left to right: Eric, Kate, Dad, Me, Beth, Joe, Ben. Eating dinner of smoragasborg.

First morning, Beth got a 3x3 pt buck.

Same night, Kate got her second deer, a yearling doe.

A couple mornings later, Dad got a 4x4 pt buck, huge!

Then, on our last evening, Eric got a 3x1 buck, and Ben got a big doe. Erics buck, the 1 point is because the antler had broken off in a fight with some other buck.
So, day before yesterday we got home, and yesterday morning we processed all the deer.
Anne and I were the only ones that needed A tags filled, so last night we went to a friends ranch, but didn't see any deer. Then, this morning we went back and drove all around the property, and I shot my first deer there.

Trying to pull her up a little hill so we can get our picture taken.

Admiring my deer! Or, commenting on the tongue sticking out :-P

Great profile picture!
Thats what has been going on, mostly! Oh, I did a nice neck shot, and got her at 8:00 AM, on the dot.

Saturday, November 7, 2009 - Hey People!
We've been sooooooooo(ect.) busy! Much has been going on.
In October we had a bit of excitement, we had a couple neighbors visit us, sadly they had to go home after we found out what house they belong to.

Then, in the end of October we went to Oregon for over a week, we all got swine flu, (not fun) we had to cancel some places we were going to go to, wich is a disapointment. We went home a day early, got home on (I think,,,) the 1st of November, stayed one day at home, the next day went to the mountains to hunt. Yesterday we got home with four dead deer, and we will process them today or tomorrow.
So, thats whats been going on! BEEEZY!

Hey, people! I'll tell yah whats going on.
Both times at the Fair were a blast! We all wore our performance clothes, (black teared skirt, white peasant top, and a corset/vest. my vest/corset was pink. :-D) so most people were giving our large group funny looks, it was so fun! It raied in middle of both concerts, first one it did a downpoour, so the boys had to set down all the music equipment because we had a stage outside, and wwe all went into a 4-H building for cover. Next concert it only sprinkled a bit, so we continued with our concert. (BTW, the H's were with us at the fair.)
I think the highlight of going to the fair was having a tailgate party at 9:30 PM in a closed bank drivethrough!
Everyone who drove by prolly thought we were dorks. but it was fun.
On August 15th, Abby had her 5th birthday party. It was farm themed and very fun. The games were, finding candy in the haystack, (strawstack) the little kids tossed rocks in a "pond" made out of blue construction paper with a hole for little kids to toss the rocks into. Next game was 3 legged race. Now that was a blast! Everyone played (including the Dads) except for Mrs. H Mrs. N, and Elle. We all lined up in a row from tallest to shortest, Ben was the tallest person, and Abby was the shortest person, so they teamed up, then Dad with Jay, Mr. H with Rase, and so on.I was teamed up with Anne.It was so funny, Dad strapped Jay's body around Dads leg with his belt, and thats how they raced, and Ben just carried Abby. In the end Ben and Abby won, then next came Dad and Jay, with everyone else behind.
When we all stopped laughing and had the strings off of our legs, we went into the house for Pin the tail on the donkey. I think Daysha won that.
After that, we all had cake and icecream, presents, then visited.
Next exciting thing was Kate and I's birthday. Kate had her birthday dinner of Fajitason Saturday, and had the H's over, to eat birthday dinner, and to practice music for the Hispanic Outreach thing on the 19th of this month. I'm going to have my birthday dinner in a few weeks.
Elle is going to be 2 in 2 days! She is getting so big! And mature for her age. Yesterday was my cousin Codys birthday, He turned 14 too. And on the 8th is going to be Rases 8th birthday. We are right in middle of Birtdhay season!
I really wish I had pictures, but I can't, so I'll try hard to get pictures.Sorry if there won't be.

Sunday, July 12, 2009 - Another Awesome thing!!
Our Guinea fowl have been sitting on a bunch of eggs, and yesterday two chicks hatched, and today the Mama's got out of the nest with thebabys, then went back after a few minutes. A little while later I went outside to check on the guineas, and I saw Kate on her hands and knees next to a pallet that was leaning against the shed (on the oposite wall the Mama's were, they had made a nest in the shed) so I came up to kate and asked what she was doing, my question was answered by a little chick calling for its mama. So I helped Kate get the chick out from behind the pallet. Kate took the chick into the house for everyone to see then brought it back to its mamma. About an hour later I was going to check on the guineas, and there on the side of the shed I saw a little chick (I think the same one) nodding it's little head to sleep in the sun! I was ecstatic because I got to hold the chick. I went to the house and showed everyone, and had Kate fix up the hole in the guinea nest that the baby was getting out, then returned it to its mama.
Now about a half hour ago I had just gotten on the computer, and someone came into the house yelling that the Mama and Daddy and Baby guineas were away from the nest, and Kate had found and put in the sun a chick that was hatching. I went outside and saw the egg with cracks and white around it, with a little chick beak halfway sticking out or a little hole! I watched the chick a little bit and was amazed that I could see the egg moving from the chicks breathing, and the chick was every once in a while peeping!
I went over to the nest where the rest of the eggs were, and I heard little peeps coming from the eggs that didn't have a crack or anything on them. Now that was really cool!!
I had to come in and tell everyone. Thats the excitement for the beginning of the week.

Friday, June 5, 2009 - Awesome!!
Two days ago Joe and Katie got engaged! We are all very excited for them.

Now for a real update:
We are doing another garden this year, and have most of it planted. This gardeen is bigger then the one we had a couple years ago.
Joe is now working for Horizon Air at the airport, (he is wearing his uniform in the above picture ^) he likes his job, so that's good
We got our computer room moved into the downstairs guest room instead of the dining room upstairs! Dad built desks all along the walls, and in the dining room he built a big table for our whole family to fit around.
We sold last years batch of baby guineas, so we only have four now, but the girls have been sitting on eggs untill now, because we have a bull snake around our place trying to eat the eggs. At Tess's tenth birthday party me and a friend saw the bull snake eating a egg, so we called the boys to scare it off. All the boys came and Joe took pictures, and Ben and Hank M caught the snake, then everyone got to pet it. We let it go up the driveway, and I haven't seen it ever since. And that was last saturday. ( BTW When Joe was taking pictures of the snake, it barfed out the egg.)
So, I think I am all caught up now. ;-) Hope to post soon!

Sunday, March 29, 2009 - Hi!
This is going to be short and sweet... I've been really, really busy. (Pretty bad excuse, huh?) But, a couple things that are of much interest, Joe is going to have a Graduation ceremony/party on April 11th, and, Joe got a job at Horizon airlines! He is going to Seattle on the 5th of April, the next day he will go to Oregon for training, I think for four days, then come home in time for his Graduation.
Oh, and on the 4th of April us girls and some other girls are hosting a Spring Luncheon, (We're not doing a tea party because one lady's tea cup broke) so that will be fun.
Signing off!

Wednesday, February 11, 2009 - another entry
First, Eric bought him a Scout International from a friend, so I have some pictures for you of it.
this is the side (no, really!) I think it is pretty 'sweet' myself
if you look really close you can se the "international" on the back.
that better?
This is the front with the "not so good side," I think Eric wants to re-paint it blue.
Now this is it with the top off and the windshield down.
We all know that Valentines day is creeping in on us, so I have a great valentine you can give to someone who likes tea! Go HERE to see it. (I got it off another persons blog)
Well, I'll be leaving you with that!

Thursday, January 29, 2009 - No Title Because I Can't Think of One
This month we have been having a "No Sugar Fast" because we had so many sweets in December, so last night Dad brought home soe Ice-cream, and Double-chocolate muffins, (they were Huge!) so that broke our Sugar fast. The funny thing was, I was only able to ea half my ice-cream, and not even touch my muffin because I was so sweeted out! (Why I was sweeted out is because I wasn't used to having sugar)
A few weeks ago we moved our computer room! It was in the Dining Room, so Dad and Mom decided they wanted to eat in the Dining room instead of the kitchen, so we moved the computers to the downstairs Guest Room, (Don't worry, the bed has been long ago taken out) and we got the walls painted in the Dining Room, then Dad is going to make a table for there. Oh, by the way, we re-painted the walls in the Dining room to White, but we are going to stencil grape vines in the door ways, it is going to be so pretty!
On Saturday we are going to go to the B's house for Pizza dinner again! They make their pizza with sour dough, so it is the best!
Well, I think that is all I have to say for now. Later Ya'll!
