I wrote this poem for my history writing assignment, I hope you like it! Well, here it goes! The Great Flood The rain did pelt and pound, And thunder made the greatest sound, The lightning flashed and almost touched the ground. The wind whirled and whistled around The earth trembled as thunder shook the ground. There was a great storm at hand! Inside the ark Noah and his family listened to the rain, While the animals kept up a steady chattering and braying, The men outside cried and said, We should have been good, for, God's just wrath is at hand! When the rain stopped and the land dried, Noah cried, "Oh Lord, I knew you would see us through!" His head he lifted up, His arms he lifted up, And his heart he lifted up, and gave it to the Lord. A new earth was at hand! Please leave a comment if you like it! |
