January 2, 2009 - New Years Resolutions
1. I want God to be first and foremost, top priority in my life. Above family, above friends, above Facebook (;]), above basketball, above school... unless I have Him in the proper place, everything else will fall apart. I want to get better about being in the Word and staying in fellowship with my Father every day. I want to really seek after Him and His will for my life. I have a lot of decisions to make this year, such as college things and other stuff, and I want to be sure and make the right decisions, and I'll need His help.
2. I want to finish reading through my Bible this year. I had planned on it last year and was following a one-year Bible reading plan but unfortunately got behind and didn't quite finish. I'm hoping after I finish reading it, to study some specific books or chapters more deeply than just reading through it.
3. I hope to be a good friend to all my friends and family members and also make new friends. I love you all and I'm here for you anytime you need anything!!
4. I hope to get better at basketball. I pretty much stink right now. lol I really wanna practice more and get better, it's something I enjoy and only have one year left to play with Patriots.
5. I want to study hard and bring my grades up and get ahead in school so maybe I can finish early and concentrate on graduation stuff next year. I think I'm going to take the ACT again in April and maybe I'll bring my score up a little if I work at it. I also want to decide preferably before I start my senior year if I'm going to college and if so what I'll be doing when i get there. lol
6. I want to eat healthier. I eat way too much junk and not enough healthy stuff. I know it'll help me stay fit and it'll make me look and feel better.
That's all I can think of right now lol.

Today is Sarah's 15th birthday!! Happy Birthday Sarah!!!
Sarah has been a very special friend to me over the past.... oh gosh, 3 years now? wow.... Sarah's family is like a second family to me, and being involved with them through church, basketball, and homeschool group they see quite enough of me to be sick of me ;P but they always put up with me and are very kind. Sarah's always ready to listen when i need to talk, laugh with me, cry with me, or whatever i need.
Thanks for everything Sarah! i love you girl!

October 25, 2008 - HERE I AM!!!
You never thought it'd happen, did you? lol yeah it's been forever, I know.... over a month. Instead of trying to catch you up on everything that's been going on, I'll just give you a quick synopsis and then move on and try to keep you updated more often.
I'm a junior in highschool which means the end is in sight and I know what I have to finish in order to graduate. That's nice, because I can move at my own pace and decide how much and when I get everything done, but it also means I know I have to get it done and I don't have all the time in the world to do it. If possible I'd like to be at least mostly finished haflway through my senior year so I can then concentrate on graduation. So that's one excuse, school.
Basketball keeps me on the run... literally. :P I have practice every Tuesday and Thursday. I'm really enjoying it, although it's tough sometimes and shin splints aren't fun, and it can be really frustrating to be one of the oldest on the team and yet not have any experience. But I've learned alot and everyone says I'm doing okay for it being my first time. We had our first game a few weeks ago.... we didn't win, but it was a lot of fun. I didn't know if I'd get any playing time but I did... I was a bit confused at first but it was still a lot of fun. The other Patriot teams won, though, so we were proud of them. ;) Number two, basketball.
I've started cleaning a house with Chrysta every other Friday. It's not too hard and it's pretty fun working with a friend, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to earn a little money while learning skills that I'll always use. Yesterday we went even though it was our off-week, to do some extra cleaning because the lady we clean for broke her foot. After we were done she sent us to the neighbor's house to talk to her because she wanted *her* windows washed. lol So there's number three, work.
Other time-consumers are the computer programming classes I've been taking every Thursday for the past several weeks. They're over now, but they were fun and I learned some things... it'll be nice not to be late for basketball every Thursday, though. Check out the blog I made for that: www.emygirly.blogspot.com Church takes up most of every Sunday now that we live 45 minutes from it, and Wednesday evenings. Most weekends lately I've spent the night with friends or something. I've joined 4-H teen leaders, I'm the county reporter, so that should be fun. We'll meet the first Tuesday of each month.
There's just a litte taste of how busy I've been. Now that I'm somewhat caught up (don't expect me to get caught up with pics lol) I'll try to post once a week or so.

September 9, 2008 - I can't live a lie....
Heyy evyybodyy,
First I wanna say a big thanks to Sarah, Lana, Toria, and Meggy for the birthday posts and everyone else for the birthday greetings, comments, messages, cards, gifts, etc. Ya'll are all too sweet and the best friends I could ever ask for! I don't know how to thank you enough for all you do. I love you guys!
I had a great birthday. My friend Stuffy came over to spend the night Tuesday and we had fun and watched a movie. Wendesday we spent 4 1/2 hours at the mall and had a great time and then went to church. They had decorated for me and had a cake and sang to me and made me blow out the candles and everything... embarrassing but sweet. :P Firday my family and I went to dinner and got my basketball and goal for my birthday! I'm so excited and I've been practicing almost every day. I also got a cool antique typewriter, a sewing machine, some pedicure stuff, a cosmetics case and some makeup, and other cool stuff.
I've been superduper busy moving and all but we're getting settled in now. I like it pretty well. My room is pretty cool and I"ve had a lot of fun working on it and decorating it. The outside is as pretty as ever and even more so with Rusty grazing peacefully in the pasture. I've also been doing school, and now have choir on Tuesdays. Last night I went bowling with a lot of friends, and that was a lotta fun.
There's a lot more I could say but I better go...

Today is my friend Emma's 16 birthday!!!!! :)
Emma, you have no idea what a great friend you are. Through the last year-and-a-half, we've gone through a lot together...as individuals and as friends. Thanks for sticking with me, girl! You have no idea how you've blessed me in so many ways...I don't know what I did before we became friends. You're always there to listen to me complain, sigh, cry (wow, that rhymed) and just be happy. Thanks for being there.
So, for your birthday....we're going to burn pancakes! :P It's the best I could do, dearie, even though we're not 62 yet. Or, you're not anyways. :) Sorry guys, inside joke.
What else can we do? We could finish our book...um, no. Let's go to a ball! (ish)
But, of course, since we're Baptist...dancing isn't exactly..well...anyways, moving on. Here's your BEAUTIFUL dress:

Hey everyone,
I just wanted to say we're moving almost everything else over today so I'm really busy and either won't have time for much internet or won't have internet hooked up for a few days prolly, so sorry to everyone who has commented or messaged that I haven't got back with, and just to let you know where I'll be.

August 26, 2008 - I will go through this valley, if You want me to...
Heyyy it's me again...
We've been really busy with moving and all... Friday we picked up the things we would need at Home Depot and then went to the house and signed the papers and started cleaning... the carpet cleaners were there so we could only do the basement but that was the most important anyways. We swept, mopped, and cleaned the downstairs basement and bathroom. My grandparents came to help and are still here helping. We left and got something to eat before HannahElizabeth and I had to be at church for a run-through and prayer meeting for Fan the Flame. It went well... me and the other ppl in the skit I'm in practiced a lot, and HannahElizabeth and Jazzy and I practiced our song. The prayer time was really good, too.
Saturday we picked up our projects from the fair then went to FtF... it was awesome. Much fun, lots of cool peeps, a great band, awesome speakers, and most importantly, God was there. It was really great... My dad got the basement floor painted Saturday morning so that was cool.
Sunday we went to church, came home and packed, then HannahElizabeth and I went back to church for an abbreviated service and then fellowship. It was fun. Mel and I practiced some bball after so that was cool.
Yesterday we went to the rent house and worked all day. HannahElizabeth and I finished painting the basement (my dad had done everything but cutting in), my grandma, mom, and little sisses worked on a bunch of stuff upstairs, my grandpa worked on making clothes rods for HannahElizabeth's closet, I cleaned the filthyfilthy stairwell closet that's not filthy anymore after much sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, and washing... we were all very tired to say the least but we got a lot done.
Today we're here at home packingpackingpacking. I think we're supposed to get the moving truck on Thursday... and we're supposed to be out by Sunday... hmm....

August 21, 2008 - You never said it would be easy but You said You'd bring me through the storm.
Heyy evyybuddyy,
I haven't been on in forever, I know, but I have lots of excuses. Lots of fun and busyness....
The 14th we had a get together/hang out time for the juniors and seniors in our homeschool group. A friend and I thought it would be fun so we put it together and it was cool. I think everyone enjoyed it. We played cards and Scattergories and ate and talked. Then mom and I went to a basketball meeting... uhuh, that's right ppl, I'm playing basketball this year (pick your jaw up off the floor now). I know I'm not really the type, but I think it will be fun, I'm excited.
Friday we found the house we're gonna rent! It's kina cool, it's on 17 acres (with two ponds and a creek... supposedly. We haven't seen the property yet. ;P) and has a big cool basement thing that we're gonna make into two rooms for HannahElizabeth and I. AND we get our own bathroom down there yay!
Saturday I was at church all day for setup for Fan the Flame (youth event at our church). Lana and I made a big poster with the theme verse (Jeremiah 20:9) on it and then we got to burn the edges with the help of HannahElizabeth and Dadrian! We worked on other things all day and then had a prayer meeting at 6:30.
Sunday was church of course... Jazzy and HannahElizabeth and I sang. Went okay except I sang the wrong words :P After church I went to Sarah's house to practice basketball... coolio.
Monday HannahElizabeth, HannahM, and Bethy (my FoodBowl friends) sang at the fair. They sang "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" and won 1st for group vocal and 1st overall grand champion! yay! Bethy also won 1st for solo vocal and 3rd for overall grand champion! woot!
Tuesday we dropped off photos and art and crafts etc at the fair and packed!
Yesterday I packed and went to church to practice a skit I'm in for FtF and then youth service...
Today I packed, cleaned a shower, packed, cleaned a fridge, went for a shortish walk/run, packed, took apart my bed, packedpackedpacked until we ran out of tape. :P
Tomorrow we're going to the rent house to clean the basement and pain the floor and then I have to be at church at 7 for FtF practice... whew... busybusy....
Okay so there's the quick update (there's been more I just can't write about everything) here's some photos:

Now that you've seen a zillion pics you never wanted to see, I have a few prayer requests. Please pray for us, as we're moving and everything. Moving is always stressful, esp. since we have to be out by the end of the month and that doesn't give us much time to pack, clean both houses, and get everything moved. Pray for Fan the Flame which is Saturday, that God will work and move in ways we can't even imagine. Pray for my friend Toria and her family, her mom lost the baby she was carrying... pray that God will comfort them as only He can. Pray for my friend Kenzie who had to have her horse put down b/c of a broken leg. Pray for my horse who has foot problems and may have Cushings disease. Thanks to everyone who prayed for my Grandad. He ended up not having surgery after all b/c it was too risky. Thanks everyone!
