Emmaus Farm

Nothing funny about it!

What I have learned is that this kind of surgery is pretty easy for me.  The docs and nurses were kind.  I was not nervous or uncomfortable.  I slept through it.

The hard part is recovery.  This is day 9 post surgery.  I have not had any pain pills today.  Dh annouced that he is going back to work and I am flying solo as all my older kids are down with the flu, which by the way I had on days 4-5-6 post surgery.  WHY!?  As if this isn't all hard enough, lets toss our cookies as well and add to the trainwreck of a house without a director/dictator, making all thing run.

So today I am forced out of my room and into the light which seems very dark. in a kitchen full of dirty dishes and a laundry room heaped high as all the laundry has been crisis laundry of bedding, towels and messy things.

Did I mention that I had the flu at the same time as the 18 month old?

I hate to complain so i will stop now.  This too shall pass and light will return, slowly, one limpy step at a time.

Oh Vicki!

I wish I could come wash up your dishes and run some laundry! Bless your heart! What a nightmare!

Praying for you my friend!

May. 15, 2008 - I'm so sorry

I can't imagine trying to recover and having the big helpers down with the flu, much less having sick little ones and getting sick yourself. Although, if you couldn't walk, could you just yell in a queenly voice, "Fetch me a bowl!" and let others take care of the rest? Praying your family and your knee recover speedily from here on out!
