Oh No! Poetry?!

My daughter is studying literature.  Right now the focus is on poetry.  She challenged me to write a poem using structure that was unfamiliar.  This is called a Sestina.

Light possessing color
Setting of the seasons
Flavoring misty air
Taste it as you breath
The first taste of morning
Drink it in with your eyes

Appraising with the eyes
Changing gems of color
Setting of golden morning
Jewels for all seasons
Sweet spring and bitter winter, breath
Pink and blue is the air

Green summer and golden autumn air
Preceive not with just your eyes
Life made vivid with each breath
Living cloaked in color
Days written in the seasons
Illustrated memories, born each morning

Open your eyes and breath
The morning air of the seasons
The color of your life lived

Needs puncuation help.  Not a big fan of poetry.  Always seems to fal into the pit of flowery and mooshy gooshy.  Which I'm not.  I think.

I don't think you need punctuation help. Your commas are appropriate and I see no reason for anything else. Perhaps there is some Poetry Police group that will arrest you, but I doubt it. Love the imagery; very solid...meaning, I easily grasp your meaning. Thanks for sharing.
