Oh, Mothers of young children, I bow before you in reverence. Your work is most holy. You are fashioning the destinies of immortal souls. The powers folded up in the little ones that you hushed to sleep in your bosoms last night, are powers that shall exist for ever. You are preparing them for their immortal destiny and influence. Be faithful. Take up your sacred burden reverently.

Hello everyone!  I have meant to share photos of our new place for a while now, but with the course the pregnancy took and me not being on the computer much, that has been difficult.  But now we have one thing to make it easier for me- a digital camera!  So today I took some photos, as it is sunny here which makes for good pictures.  For some reason, I cannot write under each photo as I usually do, so I figured I'd just write down here.  The photos are self explanatory of course, but I wanted to comment on one thing in particular.  We just got the bunk bed for the children and they love it.   Gunther (my brother) was in New York for some filming (he is a producer) and he was able to visit us briefly after his work was finished.  The day he spent with us was mostly filled with putting the bunk bed together and helping me purchase mattresses for it.  I am so grateful for his help! I also just bought the changing table that is in the children's room (that one I put together myself!)  Then I moved the crib across from the changing table.  The babies will sleep in our room at first, and whenever to do decide to move them into the crib I am going to try and have them share it for as long as possible.  If we do need to put another in that room, we'll rearrange things appropriately:)  I am in the process of decorating the children's bedroom...when that is totally finished I'll share a couple new photos.

I would like to take some pictures of the outside of the house, but I'll do that this weekend as it is too icey out there right now- imagine a big fat pregnant woman walking on ice!  I can just see the neighbors laughing right now!  But the sun has been out all day and the temperature will warm up a lttle this weekend, and then I'll come out of hibernation!  I'll also take a couple more photos of the inside of the house...but I captured most of it today:)

For those who may not know yet, the babies have been doing well.  I just had a sono yesterday which showed Hannah to be just four pounds and Abigail to be three and a half pounds.  I am almost 31 weeks along, but feel like 38 weeks...actually I am measuring 38!  Quite normal for carrying twins, but it is not easy to be so out of breath, with pelvic/hip pains and all that at 31 wks.  Only God knows when the babies' birthday will be!  I am hoping they'll make their entrance around 35 weeks...I think that would be perfect- not too early but early enough to give my body rest!   We'll see!

Mar. 16, 2007 - about your bunk beds
Posted by OhioSarah
Hi. I am curious as to your bunk beds. I have been wanting to get some of my DH's and I's daughter's aged 5 and 2 1/2 but he says he is scared. I say we just have to teach them not to jump or climb on the beds unless they are going to bed and the younger one will be on the bottom anyway. How do you all handle this? It would really free up room in an already crowded house. You can contact me through my blog here at homeschool blogger.
God bless,
